Why do I keep getting kicked out of a Team on Teams?

Copper Contributor

Hello...we have a Team on Teams that includes all of the employees and is considered a public channel. Even when the organizer invites me to the Team, I still get booted within a couple of hours. This requires me to either rejoin the Team or ask the organizer to re-invite me. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Hello @smurdoch

welcome to the Microsoft community, My name is Recep I'll be happy to help you today;

I understand that you keep getting kicked out of a teams channels meeting,
I will like you to confirm this same behavior on the web, if the web seems to be fine

I suggest to clear your Teams desktop app cache and you will definitely be fine.
1. Sign out on Teams > Quit Microsoft Teams by right clicking the icon and select Quit.
2. On your keyboard, Hold Windows key and Press R
3. Cut and paste %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams in the RUN then OK.
4. Delete the contents of the entire folder.
5. Restart Microsoft Teams > Sign In.

@Deleted  Thank you for the suggestion!

I tried it on all devices connected and unfortunately it did not work. I was still kicked out about an hour later.

Hello@smurdoch

Thank you very much for your email response, since clearing of teams cache do not work, i will suggest you proceed to un-install teams and install a fresh one and revert with the behaviour
