OneNote unresponsive at random times in Microsoft Teams

Issue:

In both the desktop app and browser app, at random times, OneNote is unresponsive.

The issue started for me 2 days ago.  Then also this morning.    I confirmed my issue with other team members in my department, working in other team channels. We're all facing this random act.

 

Background:

For the past 2 -3 weeks I have been creating/applying custom OneNote documents to Teams tabs with ease with no technical issues...until this week.

 

My specs:

I'm on Windows 10

I am using Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.3564(64-bit).  It was last updated on 2/25/20.

 

Steps to generate issues:

 

  • Open the desktop application of Teams
  • Go to an existing Channel
  • Go to the Files tab
  • Click +New -> OneNote notebook
  • Give it a name and press Create

It is at this point (at random times) a notebook may become unresponsive and will not open properly in Teams.   Teams will instead display a message and say "There is a techincal issue.  Please come back later"

 

Also, at other times, if I click the + sign to add a tab and attempt to add OneNote as a tab, the next pop-up window will appear blank like so....

1. Can the engineers at Microsoft confirm on their end that these issue exists?

2. If so, is there a bug-fix process set in place yet?
