Need help desperately as Teams Rooms are not being set up correctly and hindering our learning

Copper Contributor

Hi there,

Can any one please help. We are setting up Teams Classes and have the following faults:

1 Channel calendar will not open and we need to schedule calls today.

2 Wen we go to upload assignments it is staying 'We are still setting up your class' and this was done days ago.

3 When we try to search for the team room it is saying it is not found.

We have followed all processes but it seems as if there is a block somewhere and it is not allowing us full functionality. This is time crucial for us. have reached out to our IT support but still no answers from them. Can any one help with a fix?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi @Gaynor_Rogers,

you can try to use this steps to troubleshoot your issue:

  1. Issue with Channel Calendar Not Opening:
There could be various reasons behind this. One potential solution is to check if the "Channel Calendar" app appears when adding a new tab in the team channel.
If you see it but can't add it, consider checking the experience on the MS Teams web app. For problems specific to the desktop app, attempt clearing the app cache.

Clear Teams cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

  2. Challenge with Uploading Assignments:
If this problem is related to the Teams desktop client app, consider clearing the Teams cache.
If the issue persists, check if it occurs on the Teams web app.

  3. Team Room Not Found:
Several factors could cause this issue.
    - Verify if the room is visible in the Global Address List (GAL).
    - Check if you have a room finder and if the room is a part of room finder.
    - Check If the room is visible in the Teams admin center.

Thanks for response - really appreciate you taking the time to provide such great advice. Unfortunately no fix, but a colleague has discovered this on the Microsoft Health Board. Very worried that they have had this significant problem since the 7/12. It is causing us major headaches and hope that the get this sorted ASAP. Basic fundamentals - such a disappointment. :(
