Lost my courses and level progress on my learn profile
Does anyone know how I can contact Microsoft about my learn account?
I tried to log on using my work laptop and my profile has been reset back to 0.
I've lost all of my achievements and learning path progress.
I've had a look around for support but can't find anything that will help.

You can contact Microsoft Learn support by visiting the Microsoft Learn Help page. Look for the "Contact Support" or "Get Help" options, where you can submit a ticket explaining your issue. Make sure to include details about your account, achievements, and the device used.

Tried so many ways... I think I just gave up.
- muhammad_ahmodCopper ContributorSounds scary, would hate to lose all that. I did notice that I've lost my practice tests history. Seems like something is going on.

I just had the same thing happen to me. If anyone knows how to get in touch with MS support please let us know.

- Mats AntonssonCopper ContributorDid you get any help with this or did you find somewhere to ask for support? I have encountered something similar. When I was about to log in to Learn, I was prompted to create a new profile. Which I did and the new one is reset. However, the link to Certifications works. When I try to go to the old profile, it says it has been deleted. But I haven't deleted it.
- Derek_PetersonMicrosoftThank you for reporting this issue. We're actively looking into it and will report back once we have an update.

I have the same issue. I just lost access to all my progress and achievements. It happened yesterday. Now My ID shows nothing.
- Richard_YuleBrass ContributorI also have the same issue, my profile is blank. As I need to achieve some additional certifications for Solutions Partner areas, this is very inconvenient.

HandyanaAtmaja not yet. Looks like microsoft doesn't care unless you use their premium support.

jadoooplayer Same here, no response yet. I have also raised this with MCP support, though they point at the Learn team. The next step is probably our Partner support channels

KyloR85 (and everyone else reporting the issue) will you please provide your Learn username to better help us figure out what is happening?
You can find this by going to learn.microsoft.com, clicking on the Me Control in the top right, clicking on Profile, then copying the last portion of the URL (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/users/<username>/).

- Derek_PetersonMicrosoftMichael, it appears as though your profile was created Feb 20th and I'm seeing multiple achievements starting on that date. Was it created around Feb 20 and what are you seeing that is missing?

Thank you everyone for your patience as we looked into this.
The root cause of all of the issues that we've been able to investigate is that a GDPR request was made for at least one of the accounts linked to the Microsoft Learn Profile. These types of requests result in the automatic removal of all records in the associated profile.- Richard_YuleBrass Contributor
Derek_Peterson Thank you for the update and root cause. Could you let us all know when you will be able to reverse this impact and restore our Learn accounts to their previous state?
- Derek_PetersonMicrosoftUnfortunately, per GDPR rules, there is no way to undo a GDPR request once an individual requests it of Microsoft (the data is completely removed from our systems).
You can read more about GDPR at Microsoft here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/trust-center/privacy/gdpr-overview
- mckinnm2000Copper ContributorHello Derek, I have the same issue. Lost/Deleted Microsoft Learn Profile
I don't know why, but today, when I logged into the Microsoft Learn site, it asked me to create a new Learn Profile for my personal account that I was logged in with, which already had a Learn Profile created that I used on a daily basis.
I do not want to create a new profile because I have a lot of all the achievements, training, XP and Applied Skills credentials that I have earned. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks: Mike- Mats AntonssonCopper ContributorIf you had one, did you recently delete your Microsoft 365 Developer Program profile?
- akb1985Brass ContributorDid you ever link/add a work account?
- mckinnm2000Copper ContributorThat is a good question. No , I did not. I only show the achievements in linkedin but I have not linked or added a work acct
- mckinnm2000Copper ContributorPlease let me know if you need any additional information from me or have any question to resolve this issue. Thank you so very much. Mike
