Azure provides a rich set of backend services for building mobile solutions. This week's highlight is a collection of resources put together by Rob Caron: Essential tools and services for building mobile apps . The post features cross-platform mobile development with Xamarin and Visual Studio as well as native iOS and Android development resources but this highlight is about the Azure services featured in the Azure Friday video , namely Azure Functions and Cosmos DB.
The Azure Friday video provides an excellent illustration of how a single developer can easily roll out a global mobile solution.
