Defender for endpoint device config error

We have on boarded 1500+ devices (windows servers and windows 10/11) to MDE however for more than 100 devices we are getting below configuration error in the MDE security portal when checking device details:

This device has a configuration enforcement error:

Verify that the Microsoft Endpoint Manager tenant has been configured to allow Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to manage security configuration settings and the feature is turned on.

We checked on the portal and found that the setting is already enabled. However not sure how to fix this error on defender portal.

Have you checked the security portal>Settings to see if Defender can enforce security configurations?
