I'm unable to remove an add-in

Copper Contributor

I've recently installed an add-in, and it appeared in the ribbon of the document I was working on. It worked fine. But when I opened another document, the add-in and the Add-ins tool next to it were grayed out.

I'd like to uninstall the new add-in, but when I chose Options > Add-ins, Word froze and I had to reboot it. I've read that Word add-ins are in its STARTUP file, but none of my add-ins are there. I've used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall Office 365 and all its files and then reinstalled it, but Word still opens with the new add-in. I've searched my C drive for the name of the add-in and deleted its files, but it still loads with Word.

Does anyone know how to delete an add-in and/or prevent it from loading with Word?

Try to locate \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins. for any findings

Thanks, Kidd_Ip. I looked that up, but nothing at that registry location pertained to the add-in I'm having the problem with.
