We have some exciting news to share with you: the Microsoft productivity apps that help you with your personal and professional tasks and our new everyday AI companion Copilot, will be available on Apple Vision Pro.

On February 2, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Loop will be available on the App Store in Apple Vision Pro.

At Microsoft, we are committed to providing our customers with great Microsoft 365 experiences across their favorite platforms and devices. We have worked closely with Apple for many years to bring these experiences to iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Now, with Apple Vision Pro, these apps make use of the infinite canvas of spatial computing and can appear side by side at any scale for incredible multitasking.

With Apple Vision Pro with Microsoft 365 apps, you can:

Use PowerPoint to make a lasting impression with powerful and customizable slides and presentations that make you stand out. The Immersive Environment of Apple Vision Pro allows you to practice your presentation like you are presenting to an audience.

Apple Vision Pro and Microsoft Copilot

If you are an individual or an organization who uses Copilot, we have some exciting news for you. You will be able to create, analyze and connect, using your own words and voice (literally), with Copilot while using Apple Vision Pro. Copilot can help you to:

  • Get more out of your meetings, by being more engaged in the meetings you attend and quickly catch up for the ones you don’t.
  • Transform your writing: Copilot drafts, edits, summarizes, and creates right alongside you.
  • Bring your ideas to life: Easily start a new presentation from a simple prompt or outline using natural language commands.
  • Analyze and explore data: Identify trends, create powerful visualizations, or ask for recommendations to drive different outcomes.

This is a sample of how you can work with Microsoft productivity apps and Copilot on Apple Vision Pro. Get the Microsoft 365 applications from the store on February 2 and let us know what you think. We are eager to hear about your experience.

so excited to see these apps available for Apple Vision Pro- any chance that we can see the Authenticator app (currently available for iPhone/iPad) made available, as well? I can't wait to use these apps with my Spatial Computer for work, but my employer requires the Authenticator.

When will Intune be supported on VisionOS?

This is useless to any modern enterprise user unless you add the Authenticator app - why did you opt out on having in the App Store?

I don’t see Outlook on the App Store. When will it be available?

I was really excited to use the Vision Pro for my office apps with a major focus on Teams. Sadly, I am unable to use Teams with my corporate ID as I am required to have the Authenticator App on the device on which I am using Teams. As a result, I am unable to use the Teams app on the Vision Pro. Again, this is very disappointing. Are there any immediate plans to bring the Authenticator app to the Vision Pro?

Where is OneNote? I don’t see it on the App Store.

This article states that Device and App Compliance is supported via Conditional Access. However the article they point to:

Operating systems and browsers supported by Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn

Does not mention VisionOS.

My company requires (as do many other companies) Microsoft Authenticator to be installed on the device in order to use these Microsoft apps. Without support for Microsoft Authenticator a sizable portion of the total addressable market has been excluded. Where is VisionOS support for Microsoft Authenticator on the roadmap so that your early adopters can start using these Office 365 apps on Vision Pro?

We require devices to be enrolled into Intune in order to access company data. When will Intune be supported?

I have to chime in here as well.  No Authenticator, No Enterprise compatibility.  Also disappointed there's no Remote Desktop app either.  Huge miss here.

Using the Apple Vision Pro for business with Microsoft has one major glaring deficiency. There is no Microsoft Remote Desktop client available in the Apple Vision Pro, like there is for MAC, IPad, IPhone, and Windows. The only way to do this right now is to run RD client on MAC and mirror the MAC to the Vision Pro. This is not an ideal solution since it ties you down to the MAC location. If the RD client were native in the Visio Pro, I would have total freedom to work from any location with in infinite workspace. Even if Apple supported mirroring an IPhone (or IPad) to the Vision Pro I could run RD client on that device and work from any location, but Apple doesn’t support that.

Most companies are running a Microsoft cloud or server setup that their employees remotely connect into. So, this is a big deficiency if a person wants to use the Vision Pro as a business productivity tool.

Looking forward to when the authenticator app is available so Work or School accounts that have MAM policies applied can be used.

How to manage the Vison Pro devices as managed and Un-managed scenario ?.

Thank you for the post and with the update to VisionOS 1.1 that includes MDM support.  We can not use these great tools until we can register them in Company Portal.  When will support for this app be expanded?
