In this new monthly blog series focused on GitHub, we will be sharing product updates, notable reads, and other new resources that can be leveraged by ISVs who are building apps for the commercial marketplace. Check out what was new in September!

 

Product Updates:

  1. We launched the GitHub Innovation Graph, our open data and insights platform on the global and local impact of developers, which will be useful for developers, policymakers and researchers. Read more or watch a short preview.
  2. All GitHub Copilot for Individuals users now have access to GitHub Copilot Chat beta, bringing natural language-powered coding to every developer in all languages.
  3. GitHub Actions Importer now supports migrations from Bitbucket, Bamboo Server, and Bamboo Data Cente... Companies using those tools can plan, test, and automate the migration of pipelines to GitHub Actions more easily than ever before.
  4. Passkeys are a replacement for passwords when signing in, providing higher security, ease-of-use, and loss-protection. They are now generally available on GitHub.com for all users
  5. GitHub Advanced Security for Azure DevOps is now generally available. Enable secret scanning, dependency scanning, and code scanning on your organization directly in Azure DevOps configuration settings.
