There seem to be a lot of posts about Web Speech support from 2020 and 2021, but there have been no updates since then. The Mozilla MDN docs (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Web_Speech_API) show that Edge supports it, but while no errors are returned, it would seem that no data is returned either.
We have developed an accessibility app (https://zipcaptions.app) which we have deployed as a PWA and now want to list in the Microsoft Store, however, without Web Speech support in Edge, my understanding is that, no matter the browser installed or set to default, the app will not function?
Both Google and Apple provide WebSpeech support in Chrome and Safari, it is mind boggling that Microsoft do not in Edge, especially seeing as though it is Chromium based.
