Duplicating windows regression with 143.0.3638.1
Has anyone else ran into this issue lately in 143.0.3638.1 where merely clicking links (e.g, links from Windows 11 applications) spawns duplicate windows of all your existing tabs in addition to the new tab (rather than re-using the existing window?) Windows 11 25H2 143.0.3638.1 Example: Open Settings in Windows 11, Windows Update, click the Learn More link. If it doesn't work the first time, it will happen on the second. A duplicate second window open with all your tabs in Edge (minus pinned tabs). What a weird regression.PWA shortcuts don't keep asociated with window - Linux
I recently upgraded to version140.0.3485.14 (Official build) beta (64-bit) and noticed that my PWA, even if they open correctly in a independent window, don't show the "running window counter" on the taskbar. So, for example, if a open Outlook, the window open and loads the app, but if a I click the icon again, it opens another window, wich is a little annoying. I tried removing the PWA from Edge, rebooting, and installing again, but didn't work. Because the only change I made is updating Edge, I think is related to this build. (too lazy to go back or install the stable release)
The official place to report bugs
I am a user of the beta version of Edge on Linux. From time to time, I encounter bugs that I’d like to report. After some searching, this forum is the closest I have found to a bug tracker. So I was wondering whether there’s a dedicated place for reporting bugs or should I just post here?
Are there any fix for hardware acceleration issues?
I am no longer using Edge because on Windows there are some issues that appear to be related to hardware acceleration, bugging what the browser renders, and have to resize it's window to fix. It happens on specific websites and mostly while gaming. On MacOS M1/M4 doesn't happens. On iOS 18/26 there were some issues related to scrolling on some websites (I think related to ads) . To fix, have to go back or close the tab. I really like Edge, but these issues made me migrate to Firefox (no issues), using only Edge on the business computer.. Will there be a fix for chromium based applications or by Edge it self some day?
Edge Dev CreateProcess bug
I'm using Edge Dev Version 143.0.3638.1 (Official build) dev (64-bit) downloaded from https://msedge.sf.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com/filestreamingservice/files/3b9b41d3-7038-420a-bb07-66fe54926f0f/MicrosoftEdgeDevEnterpriseX64.msi Opening a new Edge instance by using the code: BOOL bRet = ::CreateProcess((LPCTSTR)L"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Microsoft\\Edge Dev\\Application\\msedge.exe", (LPWSTR)L" --new-window www.bing.com", NULL, NULL, FALSE, CREATE_DEFAULT_ERROR_MODE, NULL, NULL, &si, &pi); is no longer working. I can see the process starting and then terminating quickly. It works though when using Edge Version 141.0.3537.99 (Official build) (64-bit). Is this the correct place to report & track the bug?Edge for Linux/ARM64
I know there was announcements at Ignite 2019 that Edge would come to Linux at some point. My guess is that meant builds for x86_64. I would like to ask that builds be made for ARM64 as well. With ARM64 for Windows being put out there at some point in the near future, it would be nice to see all bases covered.MS Edge on Android has a bottom address bar glitch
When the address bar is moved to the bottom, there's a strange gap present between the bar itself and the omnibox (I guess that's what it's called). Also, when bottom bar placement is selected, the search suggestions appear in reversed order - best suggestions should be displayed at the end of the list, instead they are shown at the top and the list has to be scrolled through. This is Edge 141.03537.99 on Galaxy S23 with Android 16.
