I am developing automation that will read a custom field in a workitem or bug using the rest api. However, there seem to be these random times where it will return background html that hadn't been added by the user who edited the field. Does anyone know what causes this or knows how to prevent it? I'm fine with the api returning html as it fits our needs, however the background will cause some users to see blacked out text. I plan on writing automation that would update the workitem but would like to also know if there's an easier way to avoid this.
