NVs Builds Never Detect Nvidia GPU - What am I doing wrong?

Hello

I've been trying to build and use a rig using Standard NV8as v4 (8 vcpus, 28 GiB memory).

I can get the rig running - but once I get on, I can never install the correct Nvidia Drivers.  I've tried Tesla drivers and GRID - the installer always says "No Nvidia GPU Found" (or something similar).

I've also tried using the Nvidia Driver Extension with the same results.

Can anyone help.

Hi.. NV8as_v4 is an AMD based GPU...https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/nvv4-series
and you must use amd extension: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/extensions/hpccompute-amd-gpu-windows

You may want to try installing the NvidiaGpuDriverWindows extension from the VM extensions and applications section. This could potentially resolve any issues related to Nvidia graphics drivers.

I've had this problem before. I avoided it by redeploying the VM and installing the GPU driver

The Standard NV8as v4 instances are designed for GPU-accelerated workloads, but getting them to correctly recognize and utilize the GPU can sometimes be tricky due to driver and configuration issues. Here are several steps and considerations
