We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 06/03, 07:19 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 06/03, 06:56 UTC and that during the 23 minutes that it took to resolve the issue, some customers with workspace-enabled Application Insights resources in East US region may have experienced intermittent log data gaps, data latency and incorrect alert activation.
  • Root Cause: We determined that this issue was caused by a downstream service returning non success response codes for logs ingestion
  • Incident Timeline: 23 minutes - 06/03, 06:56 UTC through 06/03, 07:19 UTC.
We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
