Konica Universal Print App
Looking for others that are using this app. It seems the app crashes weekly on various models (C300i with latest firmware). We can resume printing by logging in with admin access and re-enabling the app.
We also see other issues like jobs printing (output produced) but not going to a completed state. These have been sitting like this for about 30 minutes. When this happens, we have to reboot the printer.
We got nowhere working with our local support vendor. We're trying to get national support involved.

Dear all,
the new Connector for our Konica Minolta bizhub Devices was released on the Marketplace, if your devices are still connect to the Konica Minolta Marketplace, the update should be done automatic.
App version is now 1.4.9.

That's awesome, thank you! So far the fixed firmware has been absolutely rock stable, and our company is deeply pleased and grateful to you and TakashiKM for your efforts to resolve this for us.
TakashiKM, would you happen to know if the same firmware update can be made for the OAuth firmware for these printers (C550i)? With Microsoft moving to end Direct Send support in September, it would be really important to have that available, and unfortunately after having our rep install that as a test for one of our devices, the same instability occurred with the OAuth firmware.
If not, we can work around it by using a GSuite account to send email, but we'd just prefer ideally to stick with the most secure option where possible.

If i understand correct, you use directly the scan to E-Mail in the bizhub devices and no solution which take over the scan to e-mail part? IF so, we need to wait a little, as i saw the firmware for C550i etc. is at the moment planned for mid/end April 2025 to support modern authentication directly with our bizhub devices.
Yes, a workaround is using other E-Mail Server systems, or scan solutions.

To avoid client application's bug, we have changed firmware.Please contact our service representative for updating to the special firmware.

Thanks for the info Takashi. Is it plausible that a vendor in the central US would not know about this firmware update? Was it only released in EU?

Hirklarr our device firmware is available globally, it is/was release to all our business units etc.

I was not sure if In can post the firmware version/name. But based on the location, and if WWRSPF is active, we can try an update from the cloud… just as an idea, to help Kathryn

- Kathryn_F1701Copper ContributorUnfortunately this is definitely an issue with the Konica Bizhubs using the connector from the Marketplace. It's garbage, it crashes all the time, and talking to Konica provided absolutely no solutions for us. They were helpful in troubleshooting, but I suspect they know it's an issue with the client, not with UP.
We have two 550i units and they both do this, regularly dropping and needing to be reenabled, or even occasionally forcibly reset.
That said, we have some Xerox units with native support, and while they work better usually, they have been having all sorts of issues with print jobs not being delivered or taking an extraordinarily long time to be delivered to the printer.- superbesCopper Contributor
We have the same issue, a very unstable connector on our C250i printers. Printers are delivered this month and are running firmware AA2J0Y0-F231-GC2-RE(00). Few times a day the connector app stops working. After switching the printer off/on prints come out again. Is there an other way to restart the connector app?

We are running AA2J0Y0-F231-GC2-RE(00) on our, this month delivered, C250i printers.

there are maybe other solutions possible... you have PN.- Kathryn_F1701Copper ContributorHi Philipp, unfortunately we are running 1.4.6 of the app (same as the version on the marketplace) and our MP version is 5.6.2 and our IWS version is 4.0.0. I was told these were current when I last called Konica about this about two months ago. Their only option was to look at the timeout/sleep settings, and while we adjusted that, it made no discernible difference. If anything, it feels like it got worse.

which version do you use? or already fixed?
