Hi all, Features that will be nice to have : Capabilities to interact with devices (Device state, Reset, Reboot..), Information / stastics about consumables (toners level, waste bottle level, maintenance kit level, toner serial number...), Usage metrics per Device (Print from last reboot, total device print, total print through Universal Print...), Usage metrics per User (total print through Universal Print, Black and white, Color, Hours of printing, Geolocalization of printing...), Nice UX with features based on device features and not queues, Right management based on devices and users / document content (see bellow) As mentioned before and read on this forum : print through printer mapping on floors, printer deployment with reporting (install, not install, partial), follow me printing (PIN code and so on...Not secure print), printing submission interface. Optional, but nice to have too : local printing relay (Avoid to send job through the internet then pull back), Print content management to be GDPR complient like O365 offer. ATP like, but for printing (Zero trust based) A nice wishlist for Santa Microsoft 🙂Vincent LOISEAUMar 09, 2020Copper Contributor1.7KViews6likes6CommentsUniversal Print public preview available for Microsoft 365 E5 and A5!

We thought it would be a good idea to add an announcements section to the Universal Print Community. While we will continue to use the Universal Print Blog to announce big milestones, as we did for the Universal Print private and public previews, sometimes we just want to give you a quick update on a new feature or a fix. So, head over to Universal Print Announcements for details on a connector update, then bookmark that space for future reference. ~ The Universal Print TeamAlan_MeeusJul 28, 2020Microsoft4.6KViews5likes0CommentsWe have a connector update for you!

Hello, We are currently rolling out machines configured with Intune Shared PC Mode with only the Guest user available for logon. Account deletion is also activated to occur immediately after logout. It's a Cloud only environment so a working solution for print is very welcome. Will Universal Print be able to provision a print queue to this scenario, for example provision a print queue to the machine rather that a user, or, be able to provision a print queue to a local account?SolvedPatrik_LundbergMar 03, 2020Iron Contributor2.1KViews4likes5CommentsAnnouncing Universal Print in GCC High for earlier versions of Windows!
As you may recall, in October 2023, we announced that Universal Print was made generally available in GCC/GCC High. At that time, only those customers on the latest release of Windows 11 (Windows 11 version 22H2) were able to use Universal Print. However, we’ve heard from many customers on earlier versions of Windows who want to take advantage of cloud printing as well. We listened. To ensure that more government entities can benefit from the security and productivity features that Universal Print offers, we’re extending our support. Universal Print now supports Windows 10 and previous versions of Windows 11 in GCC High. Those customers can start using it today. To use Universal Print in GCC High on earlier versions of Windows, please follow the steps here to set it up! As always, we’ll keep listening to your feedback and prioritize critical features and support into our roadmap.Rachelle_CheungJan 08, 2024Microsoft718Views3likes0CommentsUpdate! Shared printer limit increased to 2,500
To enable larger deployments during private preview, we have increased the number of printers that can be shared with users from 100 to 2,500. You can start using this additional capacity today. If you are part of the public preview, there is no action required on your end to get this added capacity — just start sharing more printers. Let us know how it goes. I've worked my way through the Universal Print setup and was able to successfully register and share printers. However, I am unable to see printers deployed via my Universal Print deployment when logged in under my demo/test user account when I click "Search for printers in my organization" in device settings on my Windows 10 client. My user is licensed for Universal Print and I'm running Win10 v1909. This demo user account only has printers available that are shared via my Hybrid Cloud Print deployment. I'm wondering if this is due to this particular user account having the Intune MDM policies assigned for my Hybrid Cloud Print deployment. I will do more testing with other user accounts to troubleshoot, but I'm wondering if anyone can clarify if there are compatibility issues with a dual Hybrid Cloud Print and Universal Print deployment.
