How to transfer an external SIP call directly to a Teams user's voicemail?
Hi, I am working on an external SIP-based reception platform that connects to Microsoft Teams through Direct Routing. My requirement is to transfer an external call directly to a Teams user's voicemail without ringing the user's Teams devices. The current flow is: External Call → Reception Platform → SIP/Direct Routing → Microsoft Teams A normal SIP transfer to the Teams user's SIP address rings the user. I need the call to go directly to their Teams voicemail. I have been investigating SIP REFER/INVITE and found references to using: sip:email address removed for privacy reasons;opaque=app:voicemail I also found information about a User-to-User SIP header, but I am not sure which approach is officially supported by Microsoft Teams Direct Routing. I have tried the opaque=app:voicemail approach, but I have not been able to get the call to reliably go directly to voicemail. Could someone please clarify: What is the officially supported way to transfer an external SIP call directly to a Teams user's voicemail? Is opaque=app:voicemail supported with Direct Routing/SBC? Is there a specific SIP header or URI parameter required? Should the SBC modify the REFER or the subsequent INVITE? Any Microsoft documentation or example SIP messages would be very helpful. Thanks!
How to set voicemails to go to a Call Queue Team Channel
I'm setting up a new call queue and AA for our front desk and I see in the Channel I have setup for calls to get routed to a voicemail tab but there appears to be no way to actually send calls here either in the AA or call queue in the Teams admin page. And as usual there is 0 how to from MS on this just heres all the settings just figure it out, without going into all the gotcha's built into the system. Yes I know I can send this to a personal or group email box that is not what I'm trying to do.
Voicemail not visible in Teams under call tab.
Hi, Being new to this Microsoft world I have a question that I can’t seem to find an answer on I any forum. So what am I missing when I can´t see the voicemails for the Call Queue in the Team under the Calls tab.? The call queue are pointing to a Team and that works fine and after business hours the call go to voicemail on the same Team and that is also working fine I get the voicemail under groups in Outlook but not in the Teams client under the Calls tab. In here I can only see incoming and outgoing calls. Any ideas.?
Voice enabled channel shared voicemail tab reactions/emojis
The whole voice enabled channel deployment has a lot of shortcomings. From no missed calls, or not seeing answered calls from other users. It seems voicemail is no exception. You can mark a voicemail as read but it only shows as read for you. With no way to delete shared voicemails through the Teams app, it makes it onerous and almost impractical to manage through Teams. One suggestion to help manage this would be to allow reactions or emojis on call/voicemails. So people can show, Hey such & such has reacted: 🔧 and is working on this voicemail ✅ and has actioned this voicemail
GRAPH API redirected to voicemail
Hello, I have a calling bot that ... calls users, using GRAPH API without any SDK. When a user rejects a call originating from the bot, and if the user has a voicemail configured on "no answer" the call is still "established", but the callbacks do not mention that the call has been routed towards the user voicemail. Here is a log extract from my calling bot : 220607;11:36:50.513;[00415];019;APP_CALL;CREATE_CALL;2D25;RestRequest;GetWebRequest;T;>>>>>> request type=CreateCallRequest uri=https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/communications/calls method=POST content=application/json raw={"tenantId":"bd194de5-c933-499f-ac81-2f54715b7525","callbackUri":"https://XXXXXXX-teams-gateway.francecentral.cloudapp.azure.com:8544/callback/call","mediaConfig":{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.serviceHostedMediaConfig","preFetchMedia":[]},"source":{"identity":{"application":{"id":"c02ef987-b36c-4fea-9a69-2ab6c818a7ba","displayName":"TANNCE","name":"TANNCE"}}},"targets":[{"identity":{"user":{"id":"a75f8483-9fb4-4e07-8e41-6ef5d1e928b0"}}}]} 220607;11:36:50.607;[00057];019;APP_CALL;CREATE_CALL_ACK;2D25;StringResponse;ReadInternal;T;<<<<<< request type=CreateCallRequest response={"@odata.context":"https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/$metadata#communications/calls/$entity","id":"411f6000-fc4e-4c4d-889f-2ec8f7f8498b","state":"establishing","transferState":null,"terminationReason":null,"direction":"outgoing","ringingTimeoutInSeconds":null,"subject":null,"callbackUri":"https://XXXXXXX-teams-gateway.francecentral.cloudapp.azure.com:8544/callback/call","requestedModalities":[],"activeModalities":[],"routingPolicies":[],"tenantId":"bd194de5-c933-499f-ac81-2f54715b7525","myParticipantId":"84a4db76-0e0e-496c-884c-7a33bd678d7e","callChainId":"0b40404a-5e51-4867-b1f5-2b8c1628caad","mediaHostedRegion":null,"mediaState":null,"resultInfo":null,"answeredBy":null,"chatInfo":null,"meetingInfo":null,"transcription":null,"callOptions":null,"meetingCapability":null,"breakoutDetails":null,"pstnDetails":null,"toneInfo":null,"incomingContext":null,"terminationSender":null,"meetingGroupDetails":null,"callRoutes":[],"source":{"endpointType":null,"region":null,"languageId":null,"countryCode":null,"participantId":null,"identity":{"user":null,"phone":null,"guest":null,"encrypted":null,"onPremises":null,"applicationInstance":null,"device":null,"application":{"id":"c02ef987-b36c-4fea-9a69-2ab6c818a7ba","displayName":"TANNCE","tenantId":null,"registrantId":null,"name":"TANNCE"}}},"targets":[{"endpointType":null,"replacesCallId":null,"hidden":null,"removeFromDefaultAudioRoutingGroup":null,"participantId":null,"identity":{"phone":null,"guest":null,"encrypted":null,"onPremises":null,"applicationInstance":null,"application":null,"device":null,"user":{"id":"a75f8483-9fb4-4e07-8e41-6ef5d1e928b0","displayName":null,"tenantId":null,"registrantId":null}}}],"mediaConfig":{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.serviceHostedMediaConfig","preFetchMedia":[]}} 220607;11:36:50.666;[00879];026;SERVER;CALLBACK_CALL_ACK;EB35;QServer;EndOp;X;<<<<<<<<<< {"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.commsNotifications","value":[{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.commsNotification","changeType":"updated","resource":"/app/calls/411f6000-fc4e-4c4d-889f-2ec8f7f8498b","resourceUrl":"/communications/calls/411f6000-fc4e-4c4d-889f-2ec8f7f8498b","resourceData":{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.call","state":"establishing","callChainId":"0b40404a-5e51-4867-b1f5-2b8c1628caad"}}]} 220607;11:36:54.773;[00879];026;SERVER;CALLBACK_CALL_ACK;B38D;QServer;EndOp;X;<<<<<<<<<< {"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.commsNotifications","value":[{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.commsNotification","changeType":"updated","resource":"/app/calls/411f6000-fc4e-4c4d-889f-2ec8f7f8498b","resourceUrl":"/communications/calls/411f6000-fc4e-4c4d-889f-2ec8f7f8498b","resourceData":{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.call","state":"established","direction":"outgoing","callChainId":"0b40404a-5e51-4867-b1f5-2b8c1628caad"}}]} 220607;11:36:54.830;[00879];026;SERVER;CALLBACK_CALL_ACK;75CF;QServer;EndOp;X;<<<<<<<<<< {"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.commsNotifications","value":[{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.commsNotification","changeType":"updated","resource":"/app/calls/411f6000-fc4e-4c4d-889f-2ec8f7f8498b","resourceUrl":"/communications/calls/411f6000-fc4e-4c4d-889f-2ec8f7f8498b","resourceData":{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.call","state":"established","mediaState":{"@odata.type":"#microsoft.graph.callMediaState","audio":"active"},"callChainId":"0b40404a-5e51-4867-b1f5-2b8c1628caad"}}]} My question : is there a way to determine if the call was rejected (or not answered in time) and routed towards voicemail, or answered properly by the user ? Teams Voicemail removes a digit from the callback number for 570 area code
If someone calls an employee on Teams and leaves a voicemail; the callback number in Teams will be missing the '0' (zero) in the 570 area code. This does not happen for other area codes, and it will not happen if the caller does not leave a voicemail. Example. Call from 570-xxx-xxxx leaves a voice mail. The call history phone number and callback number will be 57-xxx-xxxx (and obviously will not work.) This appears to be happening for all employees in a single tenant. Any ideas?Voicemail configuration
If I in (MS Teams -> Settings -> Calls -> Configure voicemail -> Text-to-speech customized greeting option) type a custom greeting and click OK, the new settings are activated. But if I open the Configure voicemail settings again, I don't see the custom greeting I just typed. I tried with Windows client v1.4.00.29469 and from https://teams.microsoft.com, same result is this a known error?
