We have exciting news! The New Commerce Experience (NCE) now supports the ability to acquire toll-free numbers for Microsoft Teams. Previously, customers would need to subscribe to Communication Credits to be able to acquire toll-free numbers for Audio Conferencing, auto attendant and call queue capabilities available with Microsoft Teams Phone. The requirement for Communication Credits had blocked customers on NCE from acquiring toll-free numbers. Please see the following guidance on how to acquire toll-free numbers on NCE. For customers who are moving from legacy (Communication Credits) to NCE or have already moved from legacy to NCE, partners will need to follow the steps below to ensure pay-as-you-go for toll-free numbers is set up correctly: Confirm that pay-as-you-go has been set up for the customer’s subscription: New commerce telco pay-as-you-go - Partner Center | Microsoft Learn Buy a pay-as-you-go calling plan for your Microsoft Teams subscription | Microsoft Learn Disable “Auto-recharge” for Communication Credits (if currently or previously on legacy) If the Communications Credit balance is zero, and telco pay-as-you-go has been configured for the customer by the CSP, then the commerce system will automatically move the customer to postpaid and the new meter will be validated. If the customer has a positive balance for Communications Credits, the commerce tool will be able to automatically identify this, and the remaining Communication Credits will be used for billing until the remaining balance is drained. Important note: Most customers have the “Auto-recharge” flag enabled within their account which will automatically refill their Communications Credit balance to whatever threshold level they configured it. You will need to disable this option if they wish to utilize the consumption meter; otherwise, the Communications Credit balance will indefinitely refill itself and the commerce system won't switch to the post-pay mechanism. See screenshots below for how to disable Auto-recharge. Hope someone can share some insights on this, as Microsoft is publishing conflicting messages. Starting October, Microsoft will change the incentive requirements for partners. In the announcement it is stated that partners will earn incentives if they have 25 points in EACH solution area. Source: May 2025 announcements - Partner Center announcements | Microsoft Learn In other presentations published, it stated 25 points in a SPECIFIC solutions area. Source: Microsoft Commerce Incentive Resources Conflicting messages from Microsoft, so which is it? The nuance is a big difference for partners. I'd assume the latter is correct. Also note that the incentives will be split further between solution areas. And note the increased thresholds for Direct Bill partners. Cheers, MartijnSolvedExtended Security Updates in CSP
Hi Community, We are an Indirect Provider and we need to clarify our options regarding Extended Security Updates through the CSP channel. Even though I have not found an official Microsoft announcement on this, https://www.quexcel.com/knowledge-base/knowledge-base/microsoft-extended-security-updates-become-available-to-smbs/ refers that and i quote "Starting September 2023, Microsoft will offer the Extended Security Updates for Windows Server 2012/2012R2 as well as SQL Server 2012 as a month-by-month Pay-as-you-Go option. Customers will need to enroll their applicable servers in Azure Arc and do need to have an Azure subscription as a payment mechanism (this can be an Azure subscription through a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Partner). With this new option, Extended Security Updates finally come into reach of SMB customers. For pricing, aim at 75% of the license price per year, divided by 12 for a rough indication of the monthly price. Exact pricing will be published in September on the Azure website". This is a really critical point for us. Could you please enlight us when and how we will be able to utilize this new ESU PAYG option via CSP? Thank you in advance for your significant input. I got triggered to ask my question due to this announcement: January 2024 announcements - Partner Center announcements | Microsoft Learn. So I got a hypothetical question regarding pricelists, price changes and deprecated SKUs. When we purchase a SKU now, which will being removed from the pricelist in the future (being deprecated), how can we verify new prices when price changes are applied? Example: - We purchase a M365 E3 (with Teams) SKU now. - This SKU is being removed from the price list from 1st of February as it's being deprecated. - And Microsoft applies a +5% price increase in September due to currency exchange rates (note; this is just hypothetical, no announcements were made to change the prices in September). - How can we verify the new purchase and ERP prices, if the SKU is not listed on the price list anymore? Of course we can calculate ourselves what a +5% price increase would look like, but how can we make sure what the real/specific prices would be? Hope anyone can give us some insights on it. Cheers, MartijnCan a Windows Server perpetual license be hosted in a Public Cloud?
Dear team, We are an Indirect Provider in CSP and we need to make a decisions for a significant amount of licenses we have. To help you on the reply, we are having our own Datacenter structure on VMs (IaaS), however the licenses discussed in this scenario are not part of our Datacenter structure. More specifically, we would like to evaluate if "Windows Server 2022 Remote Desktop Services - 1 User CAL (Commercial)" perpetual licenses can successfully hosted and utilized under a Public Cloud infrastructure. Does Flexible Virtualization Benefit help us at this point? Should we follow any guide to become an Authorized Outsourcer? Does the pricing of the "Windows Server 2022 Remote Desktop Services - 1 User CAL (Commercial)" perpetual licenses stays the same? Much appreciated in advance! With the auto migration from Legacy CSP towards NCE, Microsoft is moving all Legacy subscriptions towards NCE of course. These Legacy subscriptions will show "Auto renews on" if they auto migrate towards NCE, or "Expires on" if they are terminated and not auto migrated towards NCE. Lots of old D365 promotions were available in Legacy CSP, such as the FROM SA FROM VL/DPL promotion. Looking into Partner Center, we can see that these subscriptions don't show an "Expires on", thus will still renew. How would this actually work? Does this mean these subscriptions will auto migrate towards NCE? If the subscriptions are migrated towards NCE, how is this handled by Microsoft? Will they auto migrate towards regular priced SKUs in NCE, or do they keep their promotion? I really doubt this. Or will these subscriptions still renew in Legacy CSP? This sounds weird to me, as Microsoft is forcing everything towards NCE. This promo SKU is not addressed in the CSP Offer Retirement Guide, thus it's unclear what will actually happen with these subscriptions. Any insights or thoughts? Cheers, MartijnSolvedDoes legacy Microsoft Action Pack includes Microsoft teams?
Happy day dear community, We are an Indirect Provider in CSP program. One of our resellers wants for the first time to buy a legacy Microsoft Action Pack. Based on https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/mpn-get-action-pack learn, you can see that under the Data & AI, located in the "Microsoft Action Pack Benefit details (MAPS)" table, there are 5 licenses for Microsoft Office 365 E3. So the resellers asks if Microsoft Teams is still included into this Microsoft Office 365 E3 licenses. Thank you in advance for your significant input & prompt reply! Best regards, NickSolved
