Is there a way in MS Teams to change or 'try on' different backgrounds before or without starting a new meeting? I have been able to upload backgrounds and test them during conference calls, but have not been able to view them outside of meetings.Solved1.1MViews13likes41CommentsHow can I Identify where Office 365 Connectors are used in my Teams

With the announcement that Microsoft will be retired sconnectors soon I want to be proactive in knowing which of my teams need help to migrate away from their usage. Hi guys, I plan to deploy Teams in my company, and there's a headache. I don't want Teams auto launches when system starts, and when I install it, I use this script: msiexec /i "%temp%\Teams_windows_x64.msi" /QN OPTIONS="noAutoStart=true" It works, and after a reboot, Teams icon appears on desktop but Teams doesn't launch. And I double-click the icon to start this app, then close it, and then restart my laptop, Teams auto launched, and I found the registry item: Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Value: com.squirrel.Teams.Teams Data: %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Teams\Update.exe --processStart "Teams.exe" --process-start-args "--system-initiated" My Question is: Is there a way to set "auto-start application" is uncheched as default option? Thank you in advance. :)Solved680KViews10likes46CommentsApps not available in Private Channels
I have been in love with Microsoft teams and have enjoyed using it for my company. However I have been quite disappointed by the fact that I’m not allowed to have apps like Calendar or Tasks in private channels. It is super important for myself (I would also assume for others who also have a business) to have private channels separate from the main Team. The reason being, I orchestrate certain tasks only to the people in the office and only want them to be able to see and not the others which are not. On top of that, I would like to assign tasks to the people in the private chat and not allow the others to be able to see them. I hope this is possible and I’d like to thank the Microsoft team for their revolutionary product that’s helped us be more organized. Thank you!Solved45KViews9likes14CommentsChanging Notification Settings for all users on a Team
Is there a way to change the notification settings for everyone that is part of a Team Channel? In other words... we have a channel in our Teams chat that we want everyone to receive notifications for whenever there is a reply in that channel. I don't mind using PowerShell or whatever I need to use in order to achieve this. We just want everyone on the team to receive notifications for all replies in a channel. Background: We attempted to migrate a client group to Teams in order to enable functionality with our Office 365 setup. We have an app for them to use, and we have a Site that we share files on, etc. This group of people are newer to technology, so having everything be user-friendly is a must. The problem came up that nobody was receiving notifications for replies in the Team channels. They are only used to SMS text messaging and group texting, so they want to use the channels similarly to group texts. The group ended up switching back to texting because its easier for them to use. We need them to switch to Teams, so we want to fix this issue for them and make things as easy as possible.Solved203KViews9likes41CommentsGreen Blocky Glitch on Shared Screen in New Teams Meeting
I have a user on New Teams that repeatedly has trouble with screens being shared in meetings by other people showing up as a Green Blocky mess on her end. So far we have cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled New Teams, updated graphics drivers, tested her internet connection (measured at 300Mbps down by 35Mbps Up and she is the only user on it) performed normal system maintenance (SFC, D.I.S.M, CHKDSK), and restarts galore. No luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.11KViews8likes50CommentsHow to set Chat tab as default when starting teams
Good morning. I'm an IT contractor with M365 admin access at all of my clients who use it. I started using the new MS Teams because I am able to log into multiple accounts at once, but when I switch between clients they each default to different tabs. One defaults to chat, another defaults to teams which, for that client is a blank screen, and I wait for it to load then I realize I'm on the wrong tab (every single time, so annoying,....) I switched back to classic teams and I noticed that when I started Teams for these two clients they default to those same respective tabs when loading. This is better because I am able to load that other client once and switch to the chat tab and just keep it open, but new teams keeps loading the Teams Tab. I'm hoping that if I can change the default tab in classic Teams it'll change it in new Teams. Why are these two clients different and is there any way to change it? Thanks!13KViews8likes13CommentsAuthenticating with an access token Connect-MicrosoftTeams
Has anyone tried authenticating with an access token (using -AadAccessToken or -MsAccessToken)? The old version of New-CsOnlineSession had an -OAuthAccessToken param, which accepted a jwt with the PS permissions in the scope, which one could obtain silently, and so avoid login. New-CsOnlineSession has been dropped and the SfB Connector is end of life in July and Connect-MicrosoftTeams does appear to support token for the telephony functions.Solved110KViews8likes135Comments
