Hello OneDrive Community! We have a use case for the need to push a setting to disable the Windows 11 Snipping Tool to "Automatically save screenshots" to OneDrive. Is there a group policy or a registry setting that will set the toggle to autosave to Off?66KViews2likes14CommentsMicrosoft OneDrive has folder with only nums in it's name
So recently I started noticing SharePoint process in working in background. (I used procexp.exe app). I don't have SharePoint installed on my computer, so I clicked on it and looked it's path in properties. It took me to "Microsoft OneDrive" folder, but the process .exe file was in folder with a lot of nums in it's name. Name looks like a.b.c.d (a, b, c, d are some numbers) So this folder has 2 folders with nums in the name, first one has only one file, while second has a lot more folders, dll files, some .exe and some other types, and the Microsoft.SharePoint.exe which is the process exe file I saw in procexp. While I don't really use any Microsoft apps (I only use Word, where I have autosave option disabled). And, as I mentioned, I don't have SharePoint installed, so it's the only app with that name on my pc. This program is signed by Microsoft, so I am sure it's not a malware. So I have 2 questions: 1) What can this program do in my pc (procexp says it is in LISTENING mode) ? 2) How to disable it, or, at least, disable autostart?156Views0likes1CommentOneDrive "Unable to share right now"
When I wanna manage my files and folders from the web, it shows the pic bellow: 1. The error shows from the web is Pic 1, I tried Chrome and Edge, the same result. 2. When I try from the PC Client, it gets nothing but circling. Pic 2. 3. It happens to all my own files and folders. Because : 1) When I manage and re-share the files and folders that shared to me, it's OK. 2) When I log into the site with account of my friend, using my PC and same browser, it's OK. 4. So most probably that the issue is from the MS server and from my account. p.s. I'm using personal account with @outlook.com. Please help! Thanks a lot. Hey guys we have an AVD environment Win11 Multiuser / Pooled, where we work with M365 F3 Licenses. All seems to work but we want to have a better user experience when downloading Excel Files from their business application. Sometimes the users need to be able to download that excel exports and edit them as well as save them to Sharepoint Online. I'm trying to find a way to set the Edge download location accordingly. My way is to install the Onedrive for Business Client and sync the Documents folder to Onedrive and set the download location to the users document path. As i found out that is causing me issues with the auto sign-in to Onedrive client, which isn't working anymore after a relogin. Is there a way without the Onedrive client? Many thanks for your help. Hi, We are seeing a high number of OneDrive setup files under C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE folder which should have been cleanup up after usage. Has anyone come across this situation? Can someone suggest a method to clean this up and avoid such situations in future?Solved2.8KViews0likes3CommentsImpossible to open Autocad files using desktop instead of Web App in SharePoint Online doc library?
We are now running SharePoint Online (SPO). Our company has decided to get rid of a shared network file storage and move our Autocad files over to (SPO). I hit a bit of a snag with non-MS applications while trying to open them through the browser. We have AutoCAD files in our document library. When users try and click on it, it automatically tries and open it thorough Autodesk web app, which we never have. Is this already built-in for SPO? Why does it give me that option? I have activated the setting for the site to open using client application instead of the browser through the site collection settings and also the same in the document library settings advanced settings. I believe it only OPENS Microsoft based applications if we turn this on and not any other applications, correct? My questions are: Why did SPO show us the autodesk wep app option? Is it by default built into share point? How or why did that appear? Is the "open with client applications" only work for Microsoft products and nothing else like acrobat pdf, autocad, or other programs installed on the users computer? For example, if we have an application called ABC and creates a file with an extension .123 and we try and click in it we n share point, would it not show or gives us the option to “open with” ABC application on the user’s desktop? For example an autocad (.dwg) or acrobat (.pdf) or photoshop (.psd) or illustrator (.eps), etc... file via the web browser, won't open their desktop apps, correct? So how I can I make it open automatically using the desktop application and NOT the web app stored on the sharepoint online document library then like the ones I listed above if these applications were installed on that desktop? Can this be done or does the library have to be sync'd for it to work first? if sync'd to our personal one drive or organizational onedrive? How can we have users just click on an AutoCAD file, .dwg in SharePoint and have AutoCAD automatically open via the browser? Same with say a .pdf file via the browser? Or do we have to sync it and then open the file that way via file explorer and it will automatically open and use Autocad similar to that of a regular or network drive? The sync is soooo unbearably and unacceptably slow unlike Dropbox. Any suggestions? or impossible to use with Autocad desktop with SharePoint Online document library?12KViews1like2Comments
