Date format in SharePoint eSignature
SharePoint eSignature is now available in 28 European countries. Unfortunately, my latest test shows that the date field in a signature uses US format after the document is signed. It does not respect the site collection regional settings. Does someone know from where SharePoint takes the date format or how site owners can change the format? Attached is an example of how it is after the document is signed. It should be at least 8/1/2025 (8 January 2025).Re: Microsoft 365 Backup - Exchange Restore, recovery folder is not available
Kidd_Ip Thanks for the hint. The only option is the remark about missing changes in an Exchange mailbox. If there are no differences between the current state of a mailbox and the prior point in time from which you're attempting a restore, there will be no restore performed and no new folders created when a “restore to a new location” request is made. We don't plan to modify this behavior in the future. Unfortunately, the restore state is very limited and says nothing about whether there were changes or not. Just that the restore is completed. A bit of a black box. Btw, some minutes ago I tested the same steps from the past two days again, and now the folders from the recent restores are visible. Seems it's really an early preview. Found some issues with SharePoint restores too.644Views1like0CommentsMicrosoft 365 Backup - Exchange Restore, recovery folder is not available
Hello, I'm currently testing the Microsoft 365 Backup Preview. The configuration is fine, policies are fine, backup is fine. Now, I test to restore an Exchange mailbox as described at Restore data in Microsoft 365 Backup (Preview) - Microsoft Syntex | Microsoft Learn. I selected the option to restore the mailbox into a new recovery folder. The restore state is fine, 5 times. But the recovery folder is not visible in the mailbox. Tested with several mailboxes. On the screenshots from the documentation it should be shared folder. If I search for "Recovered Items..." Exchange does not find a folder. Someone a hint where the recovery folder can be, or experience with the Microsoft 365 Backup for Exchange? Meghana-MSFT I can confirm the fix is working for me, but just for new posts. Adaptive Cards posted in the past still have the issue with the image (Desktop and Teams on the web). I use version 23335.219.2592.8659 (preview).2.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Images in Adaptive Cards in New Teams Client not showing
emilSociuu The cause is pretty clear. Compared to Teams Classic the new Teams client (including Teams on the web with the new Teams) extends non-public hosted pictures with a "&v=1" at the of the picture URL. That's the issue. Here is an example: Public-hosted pictures (like the images from the stock gallery) are not affected. Meghana-MSFT I think the development team made a mistake and should use ? instead &, if they want to force a cache update. Then the picture will be displayed like in Teams Classic.10KViews0likes0CommentsPhishing Detection in Microsoft Forms
Hello, I have a question about the recent announcement for phishing detection in Microsoft Forms. I understand the detection for new Forms. Maybe someone from Microsoft can also explain some details for existing Forms? Do you analyse published Forms from the past too, or just new Forms? And if yes, what will happen with these type of Forms? The same like if you detect a phishing Form in the design phase? Thanks Tobias21KViews2likes13CommentsRe: New Outlook for Windows in starting loop
NikolinoDE Thanks for the description, it seems these are the steps for issues with the classic Outlook. I still have the start loop with the new Outlook I found logs from the new Outlook in the meanwhile, and there are several notes why Outlook is in the loop. Application started with the following command line commandLineArguments --force-update Initiating an xpd update check XPD: Encountered an error when configuring release ring for update ... XPD API Error: Failed to open rings xpd check for updates failed Seems Outlook hangs in an update loop. Via the comments at that post I was able to get into the new Outlook again, until the next start. Submitted an issue. At the moment I have not found any other solution to cancel the pending update.18KViews0likes3CommentsNew Outlook for Windows in starting loop
Hello, I'm using the new Outlook for Windows. After an update Outlook sometimes hangs in a start loop, means opening, closing, opening, closing,... I can terminate the process, repair, or reset Outlook, after some time Outlook switches back to the old Outlook. If I try to enable the new Outlook, the starting loop is back. Is there a way to reset the new Outlook configuration, like deleting caching files or so? I think the update has an issue with previous configurations. I assume no. Since March you get a hint to convert the old Wikis to OneNote. Also, Microsoft updated the timeline until when the old Wikis are deprecated. Read the message center post MC496248 for details: https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/#/MessageCenter/:/messages/MC496248Re: Now in public preview: Virtual appointment - a new Teams Meeting type for B2C meetings
Hello Emily Kirby , thanks. I can reproduce the issue in two different tenants. My current Teams version is "Version 1.6.00.2573 (64-bit). It was last updated on 07/02/2023." For the 2nd issue with the missing template, the system is looking for the URL https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/meetings/templates/firstparty_e514e598-fba6-4e1f-b8b3-138dd3bca748/edit. Seems the page is not available; result is the mentioned error "The page you are looking for doesn't exist." Both tenants are in the Region Switzerland. Happy to share more information, if needed. TobiasRe: Now in public preview: Virtual appointment - a new Teams Meeting type for B2C meetings
Seems the preview is not ready for a preview. 1. No virtual appointment can be scheduled > Creating a new virtual appointment, adding all data, saving ... "Something went wrong. Edit event to try again." 2. Teams Admin Center > Meeting template policies, option to hide the virtual appointment template is always disabled, also with an error: "The page you are looking for doesn't exist."Re: Now in public preview: Pin your own video in Teams meetings
Hello Kaushal Mehta (LYNC) I see it's possible to pin more than one participant. Do you have details what the limit is? Also, I think some users can have a "stalking feeling" if everybody can pin the video from someone. Is there an option to prevent other users from pinning my video?Re: Multilingual sensitivity labels in SharePoint Sites, Office Web and MS Team groups
Benybunny Unfortunately no change for now, still the same situation in Office Web. I posted an idea into the new SharePoint feedback forum > https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/196dbd7c-0343-ec11-a81a-0022484e21f1.3.2KViews0likes0Comments
