Different columns in subfolder and Document Sets
I have a customer who has wants me to do the following: Create a document library where the root folder has the standard columns Create two sub folders inside the root folder: Documentation and Reports Create a document set with two columns: Certifier and Due Date Create a third sub folder called Drawings, where the document set will be used Add the two columns from the document set to the Drawings folder It's no problem adding those two columns to the Drawings folder. But: The Certifier and Due Date columns are also added to the root folder and all the other sub folders! Why? I've googled until I was blue in the face on how to achieve this, but the closest I've gotten is a reply telling me that in old SharePoint, this was possible, but not in "modern" Sharepoint. Please, help!4.3KViews1like2CommentsUser has access to SharePoint files for a team channel she's not a member of
We have a team with several channels. A couple of these channels are only open for a subset of this team. This means that not all team members can see or access these channels. Today, one user who's not a member of these channels discovered something: - She was in a file folder for one of the teams she IS a member of - She chose "Open in SharePoint" - She was then taken to the same file folder in SharePoint - She then chose Documents in the left side menu in SharePoint - She could now see the file folders for ALL channels, even the ones she doesn't have access to inside Teams. Is this normal behavior between SharePoint and Teams? If so, that is a huge security fault. Or is it a setting I can set to prevent this?Solved5.3KViews0likes7CommentsCollaborate on file in a meeting
I held a meeting in Teams today with people from outside my organisation. None of them are invited as guest users into any of our teams. I uploaded a Word file into the meeting that we were all going to collaborate on. When the other meeting participants tried to open it, Teams sent them to their web browser to log on. After logging on, they were told that they didn't have access to the file. I thought it was possible to collaborate on one and the same file in a meeting. Isn't this possible, or is in only possible within the same organisation?1KViews0likes4CommentsCreating a Teams meeting programmatically
I have several customers using HCL Notes/Domino (previously Lotus Notes/Domino). Some of them are also using Teams. I've been asked by some of them if it would be possible to add a button to the calendar form in the Notes calendar that will create a Teams meeting for them. The Teams meeting will then receive the Subject, date, time and participants, and return the URL for the Teams meeting, which will then be put in the description field in Notes. I know that Teams has a good API, so I'm sure this can be done. Unfortunately I'm not that experienced with JSON and REST APIs, but I want to give it a shot. Any tips on how to to do this are welcome.62KViews1like8Comments
