When creating a new meeting in Teams and clicking the drop down button to select a category, a list of about six options appears that appear to be randomly selected. These don't bear any relation to the most commonly used categories I use, meaning I then have to click through to the list of all categories to find them. Is there a way to change what categories appear in that initial short list to save me a click each time?97Views0likes1CommentWhy does Teams always strip indentation when pasting text?
It's fairly common to want to post code in teams (without using the special formatting for code snippets). The markdown like syntax for code works pretty well when typing code and it preserves indentation. But when you paste XML or JSON all the indentation is removed. Why? Here's an example: That XML was indented in the source. But whenever we paste JSON or XML we lose indentation. Unless we take the extra effort to use a code snippet. Or manually type it for small examples.Solved66KViews16likes58CommentsTeam disappears from the side rail if a channel is in the section
This started around the time Communities have been added to the side rail (the one that shows recent chats, all your teams, etc.). I have a setup where i add channels that i need to a section called Favorites and in that section i enable to show only unread. I put this section above chats in Combined view. This way i see channels with unread messages on top and new chats also appear at the top of the Chats section. This way it is easy to notice unread messages without pesky notifications. Because there is no option to limit the size of Chats section (i would prefer it to show only last 10 chats or less). So, my Teams list is usually too far below to see channels with new messages. I had this setup since Combined view was introduced. But a few weeks ago behavior changed. Now, if a channel is in a section, the whole team is hidden from the side rail and under the Teams section it only shows a link "View all your teams". Which you need to click and it loads list of teams in the main window, then you click on a team and it loads a list of channels and so on. Very slow. It doesn't make sense to hide entire team if you add one of the channels to some section. I still might need to access other channels and i want it to be at my fingertips, not behind 3 clicks and UI loading time. It even looks more like a bug, but probably not many users run into it as i think sections are not as popular as Microsoft have hoped.87Views0likes3CommentsRemoval of Default Tabs - "Staff Notebook" & "Reflect"
I have a few users who would like to toggle these tabs off or hide them. I have not been able to find a way to do this. If I right-click on the tabs, "App Permission" is the only option. Is there a way to perform this function via Powershell or O365 Admin Center? See screenshot1.1KViews1like3CommentsNo function to clear my own chat history like others
Hi, There are "Remove chat history" functionality for others. But There is no way of one shot clear all history of my Own chat history. This should be added to new feature. We can not delete one by one of each notes of our own chat dialog.56Views0likes1Commentmissing crumb trail in Teams channel, cant get back to highest document level

I'm using three monitors, on one monitor I usually have the Teams app window. That monitor is not my main display. I can move the Teams app windows to any of my three monitors and it stays there but as soon as I switch focus to the Teams app windows it pops back to my main display. Very annoying. Anyone experienced this behavior?Solved25KViews12likes18CommentsMouse pointer lag or delay or shaky
Hi, there is an issue when joining a Teams meetings leading to a significant lag or delay of mouse pointer speed. This happens across devices (notebooks, workstations); this is affecting a novel Logitech device connected via BT and Teams joining via web-interface, but also for Teams App. IMO this is a fundamental issue (either PHY or MS level), why a software (Teams) is suddenly "interfering" with the mouse pointer (speed). Internet bandwidth is fine at > 50 mbit. Once I logout of the meeting, the pointer is "released". Additionally, the lag is immediately "released", once another users starts sharing (taking over). Note that the lag is there before sharing anything from main-user side. Does anyone experience this "phenomena"? Are there any reports, which are known to the MS Teams dev team. Are there any ideas or concrete solutions to this issue? I consider "go to settings" not the answer, this seems to be some be internal or "layers below the surface". Anyone have any luck with this? Know of a work around? Anything know if this is a known issue and if a fix is on the way? Once again Microsoft Support has lived up to my expectations so I'm reaching out here. Create a meeting invite link and share with a bunch of people. When clicking on the link the user is presented with options to download Teams, use the web or open with the Teams App. This applies to the Teams App link. Users with business accounts, and users who join as guest work without issue. On the join meeting window there's a link to sign in for a better experience. Clicking this link show a signing in page either indefinitely or for a while and reverts back to the join meeting window. It appears that signing in to a Teams meeting with a personal account (Outlook.com, Gmail) simply is not supported. If this is the case I would expect a message to say this but I suspect this is a bug in Teams.21KViews1like12Comments
