Re: D365 Sales Copilot ...Copilot for Sales ...whatever :)
Well I guess we know what they were up to now and why they were being so quiet about it: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/ai/microsoft-sales-copilot Now it's a paid addon even for Sales Enterprise users. It's a completely reworked product. 😳Re: D365 Sales Copilot ...Copilot for Sales ...whatever :)
It is my understanding that it works just fine if you already have it installed or have embedded use rights through your Sales Enterprise license but obviously not something you can buy/provision as a standalone service right now due to its removal from the January Price List. In Microsoft's universe, if it isn't in the price list it doesn't exist. I haven't heard any MS response yet but I'd bet this doesn't get addressed until the beginning of February when it is (hopefully) added back unless there are other forces at play that aren't being transparently discussed.D365 Sales Copilot ...Copilot for Sales ...whatever :)
Hey friends and esteemed colleagues, Recently came across the January '24 CSP/NCE price list and noticed that Sales Copilot isn't there. Also noticed that I can't find it for manual purchase under M365 Admin in a tenant of mine. The SKU was definitely in the December '23 price list. Can you attempt to replicate on your end and let us know your findings? Wondering if something is up. Thank you in advance.Bring Back AI Builder Calculator
Hello, This is my campaign to bring back the AI Builder Calculator. Since Ignite, the AI Builder calculator at https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder-calculator/ simply redirects to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-apps. I feel like this is a misstep. AI Builder looks to be a huge part of Power Automate and Copilot Studio and not giving users a mostly user-friendly way to go about calculating the # of AI Builder credits they will use doesn't seem like the right business decision. As of today, you'd have to know that the rate card is in the Power Platform licensing guide, know how many AI Builder credits you get in a bundle and do the math yourself. The AI Builder calculator did that for you and was an integral part of Microsoft's websites for years. Perhaps another reason this is nonsensical is that AI Builder has much more to do with Power Automate than it does Power Apps, so if you were going to redirect the site, why have it redirect to Power Apps. Please resurrect the AI Builder calculator for the good of the community. -BlakeRe: Business Card Reader in mixed Dynamics 365 & Power Apps licensing Estate
If all of the users (regardless of d365 license or not) are going to use the custom app, I'm fairly confident it will only care about your AI Builder credits and with a million credits they should be able to scan over 30,000 cards a month.1.6KViews1like0CommentsRe: Business Card Reader in mixed Dynamics 365 & Power Apps licensing Estate
Think of it like this: D365 user does business card reader from within D365 -> it will deduct from D365 entitlement D365 user does business card reader from custom app connected to AI Builder -> it will deduct from AI Builder credits. If you're looking to use the same business card reader in D365 and hoping that it starts deducting from your AI Builder credits once your D365 entitled credits run out, I don't think it works that way. Separate apps = separate buckets, imo. At the same time, I have to wonder what kind of industry still has massive volumes of business cards that they need to scan in 2023? Anything more than a couple hundred seems egregious.1.6KViews2likes2CommentsRe: No Business Central Attach for Sales Premium
My thought would be this: Sales Prem is just Sales Ent + Sales Insights packaged as 1 thing. But, it was only in this last year that we saw attach motions for Sales Ent or CS Ent because there was clearly a demand. Sales Prem just doesn't see that same level of demand. Next, you might as well be asking "well why can't I attach it to Microsoft Relationship Sales as well?" Really there's no reason everything can't attach with everything else in some form or fashion, but the attach motions are really there to provide suggested upsell/cross sell paths to other Dynamics SKUs. It is probably assumed that, if you really and truly need Sales Premium than you could either afford to pay full price for BC or that you might be looking at a larger ERP system like F&O.631Views2likes0CommentsRe: Business Card Reader in mixed Dynamics 365 & Power Apps licensing Estate
Chris I believe that technically the answer is yes. The business card reader in Sales Enterprise uses the app's camera controls (on mobile) or an image of the business card (on desktop) to automatically process fields from the business card. With Sales Enterprise, you actually get 10 scans per user per month, pooled at the TENANT level which means that in a 10 user setting you actually get 100 scans but you could end up in a situation where 1 person scans 90 leaving the other 9 individuals with only 10 scans left. The business card reader functionality within AI builder is a different, separate thing and in no way related to the functionality in Sales Enterprise. Here you'll use a custom app with a back-end process linked to Power Automate/AI Builder and perform a similar function but within the Power App itself and not within the Sales Enterprise application. AI Builder should be able to extract the necessary, relevant text and create what I'd assume to be "Leads" in CRM since Leads isn't a restricted table. When users are using the custom app linked to AI Builder, they will be subject to AI Builder credits. When they are using the business card reader functionality in CRM, they will be subject to those limitations. It's really simple - don't over think it.1.6KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Business Central on premise licensing query re client development object assignment
"Is the licensing for Business Central on premise is the same as NAV" No. My last BC on-prem licensing guide is from March of this year but there's not anything about licensing BC by additional pages within the 50,000+ object range. It should be as simple as the user wishing to develop needing a full user license for their environment, shouldn't it? You may also find some clarity in the BC on prem licensing guide: https://assetsprod.microsoft.com/mpn/en-us/business-central-dynamics-licensing-guide.pdf1.4KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Eligibility to "Bridge to the Cloud 2" Promotion
Yuko_Mizuno I was told by the regional operation team that "Bridge to the Cloud 2 (BTTC2)" can be applied to customer's tenants which have never purchased CSP licenses before. Is this true? You obviously need a tenant in which to place CSP licenses. If there's not yet one established you will need to first establish one. If a customer is a Microsoft 365 user and wishes to move their Dynamics on-premise to Cloud, they have to have a brand new tenant? If their M365 is in the cloud, they can put BC in that tenant. If their M365 is not in the cloud (is that possible???) then please see the previous response. All of the rules and guidelines for BTTC2 can be found here: Dynamics 365 Partner Portal (microsoft.com)6.3KViews0likes2CommentsRe: D365 Customer Voice End of Sale
Marcel_Altena If you have access to the licensing deck (not the guide, but the deck) within PSBC, that's where I found the info originally. In the October 2023 licensing guide, the changelog just says that the standalone offer was removed. Given that it is end-of-sale new, it seems that those who have CV use rights within their D365 product can still use the product until further notice. I think we're still all wondering what will supplant it, if anything. End users can still use Forms but that may or may not meet the needs of someone would have benefitted more from Forms Pro (aka Customer Voice). I guess we'll all wait and see if there are future changes.6.8KViews2likes8CommentsRe: D365 Customer Insights
How fortuitous that I came to ask something similar. At first, I went here to check: https://experience.dynamics.com/requestlicense/ and I did not see Customer Insights but I went to aka.ms/SandboxFAQ (linked at the bottom of the page) and the FAQ does mention that, at some point, Marketing was available as a sandbox that partners could allegedly purchase at a discount. This makes me hopeful that Customer Insights will eventually get the same treatment? I know that there's at least a handful of partners who would love to be able to demo Customer Insights for their clients thinking about switching over from Marketing or from a competing product. (Please note that I'd provide a screenshot from the SandboxFAQ link but every time I try and do something HTML here, it tends to not want to post.)722Views0likes0CommentsD365 Customer Voice End of Sale
Hello. There's a September 2023 licensing deck floating around out there from MSFT saying that Customer Voice will be end of sale as of 10/1. This is not documented anywhere else and I'd very much like to know what's up? Will there be a successor product or will this functionality be baked into the basic version of Microsoft Forms.Solved
