D365 Customer Voice End of Sale
- Sep 12, 2023
Hi blakecheek
Thank you for your patience.
I did not have visibility to the September licensing deck, so my apologies for my previous response.
Yes, you are correct...I've researched and can confirm that effective October 1, Customer Voice will be removed from the price list & will become a lead status SKU until further notice. Existing users will still be able to use this product, so it's considered deprecated as far as my understanding goes.
More information on a replacement or comparable product may be provided in the months to come.

Can you dig up the FAQ *** UPDATE: I've removed the link to the internal document - Licensing Conciergfe *** which is referred to? Not very practical to refer to a Microsoft internal document in a deck meant for partners......
If you have access to the licensing deck (not the guide, but the deck) within PSBC, that's where I found the info originally.
In the October 2023 licensing guide, the changelog just says that the standalone offer was removed.
Given that it is end-of-sale new, it seems that those who have CV use rights within their D365 product can still use the product until further notice.
I think we're still all wondering what will supplant it, if anything. End users can still use Forms but that may or may not meet the needs of someone would have benefitted more from Forms Pro (aka Customer Voice). I guess we'll all wait and see if there are future changes.
- MaholyOct 17, 2023Copper ContributorHi blakecheek,
effectively as you say, the offer will be kept within the D365 enterprise licensing, but the stanalone license is out of the market.
I am talking about a SKU lead that I don't understand when to apply it, or I have never heard of it before.
If anyone knows please enlighten me.- LicensingConcierge1Oct 17, 2023Former Employee
The change to Customer Voice was announced to Partners in the September Licensing Deck.
I do not store archived documents, but if I can find it, I'll paste the info on this forum.
A "lead status" SKU is one that requires authorization for purchase.
In an effort to avoid the need for you to submit a ticket in Partner Center, I'll do my best to find more information about "lead status" SKUs for you all
**** UPDATE****
Only new customers that intend to purchase the standalone Customer Voice SKUs will be impacted and will no longer be able to make this purchase beginning October 1, 2023. Existing and seeded* customers are not impacted by the removal of the standalone Customer Voice SKUs from the price list and can continue to renew on their Customer Voice SKUs.
* Included at no additional cost with the purchase of Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise, Dynamics 365 Customer Service Enterprise, Dynamics 365 Field Service, or Dynamics 365 Human Resources in limited quantity.

Something to mention is that our current Customer Voice tenant license seems to have been downgraded (we purchased before the October 23). We no longer have access to the customer responses.
Understanding what our MS Dynamics consultant can make of it (also taken by surprise and only since the licenses glitched during development) is that we would need to upgrade to the Enterprise version to continue to have access to the the response data.
Not sure if this is the case, the consultant and I are both confused at this, but something to share on the user end experience.
