Cloud problem "OneDrive"

Copper Contributor

There is a problem with the cloud, it’s definitely not local, but specifically in my account OneDrive. The problem is that through the parameters when emptying the recycle bin, an error appears "undefined" to be more precise it looks like this "will be cleared undefined storage". I contacted Microsoft technical support, first with the technical department, then with the accounts department, then with the department OneDrive. They said everything was fine with the account, there were no problems, initially I was sent to the accounts department, later I was sent here, but even then they only advised me to clear the cache, Log out of your account and unlink it, none of this helps, it’s useless. This doesn’t help, give me a link to reset the cloud or something else, well, I can’t log into my account from this account, because of the cloud, the computer is just going crazy, the application is on the computer because of the cloud constantly restarts, now constantly processing data, but impossible to work with the account. Give me some good advice already! In addition, due to the fact that the cloud storage is not detected, Clearing synchronized data in a partition does not work "devices".

Hi @LarisaKuchina,

he most likely working solution is to reset OneDrive. This will clear the OneDrive cache and settings and may fix the problem.

To reset OneDrive on Windows:

  1. Press the Windows key and R to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Type %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset and press Enter.
  3. If you see a "Windows cannot find..." message, copy and paste this instead and press Enter: C:\Program Files\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset or C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset.
  4. OneDrive will restart and reset itself.

To reset OneDrive on Mac:

  1. Quit OneDrive.
  2. Right-click the OneDrive icon in the Finder and select Show Package Contents.
  3. Browse to the Contents > Resources folder.
  4. Double-click ResetOneDriveApp.command (or ResetOneDriveAppStandalone.command, if you're using the standalone app).
  5. OneDrive will restart and reset itself.

If you are still having problems after resetting OneDrive, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling it. This is a more drastic step, but it may be necessary if the problem is caused by a corrupted installation of OneDrive.

To uninstall OneDrive on Windows:

  1. Press the Windows key and R to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Type appwiz.cpl and press Enter.
  3. In the Programs and Features window, scroll down to OneDrive and select it.
  4. Click Uninstall.

To uninstall OneDrive on Mac:

  1. Drag the OneDrive icon from the Applications folder to the Trash.
  2. Empty the Trash.

Once OneDrive has been uninstalled, you can download and reinstall it from the Microsoft website.

Oh my god, it's not a corrupt installer problem, it's a cloud problem. This doesn’t help, what else can be done from the website version? Hi @LarisaKuchina,

I'm sorry to hear that you're still having problems with OneDrive. You have already tried resetting and uninstalling OneDrive, but the problem persists.

I recommend that you try the following:

  1. Use OneDrive on a different device. If you have access to another computer, try using OneDrive on that device. If the problem does not occur on the other device, then the problem is likely with your local installation of OneDrive.
  2. Try using the OneDrive website. If you are unable to use OneDrive on your local device, you can try using the OneDrive website. To do this, go to onedrive.com: https://onedrive.live.com/login/ and sign in with your Microsoft account.
  3. Contact Microsoft support again. If you have tried all of the above and you are still having problems, then you should contact Microsoft support again. Explain the problem to them and let them know that you have already tried resetting and uninstalling OneDrive.

@LeonPavesic They wrote that the situation is popular and they said that they would notify me when the problem was resolved. But there is no time left, so it is useless to contact. There is no solution to the problem.

Hi @LarisaKuchina,

I understand that you are very  frustrated with the OneDrive problem you are experiencing.

Since you have already contacted Microsoft support and they are aware of the issue, I would recommend waiting for them to notify you when the problem has been resolved.
