Sync
903 TopicsHave 1TB available but OneDrive wont upload and says "Not enough cloud storage"
I bought Office365 today and I have only 3gb on my account used out of over 1TB of space however when I try to sync it just says "Not enough cloud storage" "you don't have enough space for this file". This is very frustrating. I check my settings, I emptied my trash, I re-linked the account. None of it worked. I went through the Troubleshooting machine and did all the steps and nothing helped. I did get an error saying one drive could not be restarted. Anybody have any suggestions? Very frustrating to spend money and have this happen.4.7KViews1like6CommentsCan't get OneDrive with all my data on new computer
I bought a new laptop recently and have been working to set it up with everything my old computer has. I love my old laptop, but it is five years old and I worry about failure and losing everything. Because of that fear, I have used OneDrive heavily. Anyway, when there was a pre-BlackFriday sale, I purchased a new laptop. I got OneNote to come over with my folders, but I can't get the OneDrive synced. I have researched online and have tried sharing and other suggestions, and nothing works. How can I get my new computer to use the same OneDrive?46Views0likes1CommentAfter reinstallation OneDrive, the backup cannot be made due to another cloud service in Windows 11?
Hello everyone, I'm a Dutch Windows 11 user with the following problem: Since one of my Microsoft accounts has been disabled for private usage on my home pc I removed that account and it's folder from my local userprofile in Windows. Note: There was no other way removing it since I could not logon anymore. Even before that account was disabled the Explorer in Windows 11 is extremely slow. Taking about 30 seconds to open or browse files and folders. I found multiple people describing this issue on the internet. I tried running: "OneDrive.exe /reset" (as mentioned in the https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/reset-onedrive-34701e00-bf7b-42db-b960-84905399050c) to fix this problem with no result. I also tried running "wsreset.exe" (https://support.microsoft.com/nl-nl/office/onedrive-opnieuw-instellen-34701e00-bf7b-42db-b960-84905399050c?WT.mc_id=365AdminCSH_Smc) also with no result. At last I removed OneDrive from my pc. Deinstalling it, then rebooted my pc and reinstalled it. That resulted in the following (from Dutch translated) error: "Your Pictures folder in OneDrive can't be backed up because it contains other cloud storage. Disable cloud service syncing in this folder and try again." aakt van uw afbeeldingen-map in OneDrive omdat deze een andere cloudopslag bevat. Schakel de cloudservice synchronisatie in deze map uit en probeer het opnieuw". Since there seemed no way to remove the 'other' cloudservice. Hey I removed OneDrive to install it again. I decided to remove OneDrive agian from my pc by deinstalling it. After rebooting my pc I also removed all OneDrive foders from my %UserProfile% (I have a back-up on USB), then reinstalling OneDrive. You might guessed it, and yes your right I got the same error again! Apparently there is no supportpage on this error so I post it here. Maybe someone here knows it and can provide me with a solution? Thanks in advance! PS. I also have Apple's iCloud running on my pc, I also removed and reinstalled that program without problem thinking it might be the "other cloudservice" mentioned in the error. I use OneDrive for bussiness (School-Microsoft-account) this error I get is on my personal (non-bussiness) MS-account.233Views0likes3CommentsMove files from Account A to Account B 165 GB data
I’ve been using Microsoft Office 365 Family for several years, sharing it with my family members. We have 6 accounts, each with 1 TB of storage. One of my accounts has now reached 985 GB, so I need to transfer files from Account A (my account) to Account B (my wife’s account). These files mainly consist of photos and videos — over 200,000 files in total. I tried transferring a 6 GB wedding shoot (.ISO format), but it took more than an hour. Re-downloading and uploading all the data isn’t feasible as my internet connectivity is limited to 100 mbps only. I’m looking for the best and most efficient way to move these files directly between OneDrive accounts.89Views0likes1CommentOneDrive stops syncing folders at random
Hi team I've got a couple of devices that are syncing less then 300,000 items. A couple of times a month OneDrive just stops syncing and won't start until its reset. Just to clarify OneDrive is still running, it just doesn't sync anything and the OneDrive status icons in File Explorer disappear Reset OneDrive resolves the issue but its frustrating as some of the files are shared with other people and I don't see their updates. Pause OneDrive and restart it doesn't do anything I have 100gb free on one device, 66gb on another and 50gb on the third No shortcuts are syncing Onedrive metered network option is turned off Updated to 25.184.0921.0004 No bandwidth limits applied Has anyone else had this experience? If so what did you do for a solution? Any assistance is appreciated107Views1like1CommentAccidentally deleted ALL of my files
I was under the impression that I was saving all of my files locally. I occasionally accidentally save something in OneDrive, and would leave it there, but most things were going into Documents, Pictures, etc. I have a different OneDrive path on my computer that I could see when I saved documents in Word. Today I decided it was annoying to keep accidentally saving in the wrong place, so I deleted OneDrive. There were way too many files for the Recycle Bin, so it was a hard delete. To my shock, all of my folders vanished. It turns out Documents, Videos, etc, were all in OneDrive. The problem is that when I go online and sign into my onedrive, I only see the files that I would occasionally accidentally save there, and those have not been deleteed. The bulk of my files, the ones from my local computer, are not there. I tried resetting to yesterday and it looks exactly the same. Any idea where those files were saved/are now? Are they recoverable or am I epically screwed?85Views0likes1CommentBlock/prevent specific folders from being sync'ed
As OneDrive admins we would like to block/prevent specific folders from being sync'ed (i.e node_modules), using policies. In the roadmap there is this item: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?id=178292 that was supposed to be rolling by now, any information about its status? Thanks73Views0likes0CommentsOnedrive file sync issue
I just recently had an issue where my files were not synced because i had run out of onedrive storage space so i just got rid of a bunch of unnecessary files sitting around which freed up a ton of space. The files still werent synced so i resett one drive to sync them back up but when i did that it just restored the files i had just deleted. I kept trying over and over again but the same kept happening and now i cant sycn my files. Ive tried everything, restarted my computer. Reinstalled onedrive but its all not working and my files and folders wonf sync. What do i do to fix this?208Views1like2CommentsDate taken option removed!
I’m finding One Drive increasingly frustrating as a photographer as the date taken option has been removed and my files are badly muddled, this option was part of the app for years so why did the developer remove it. Very annoying for professional photo work so bring it back.171Views1like3CommentsSyncing Minecraft Worlds to Onedrive
Hello I am trying to sync my Minecraft "saves" folder to Onedrive. It has all of my Minecraft worlds folders on it. I can upload a copy of it to Onedrive, but I am unsure if the data in the world folders updates automatically as I play in my worlds. Does the data in the world folders update as I play them? How to I sync the "saves" folder to Onedrive (it does not give me the option when I right click. For reference, the saves folder is located at: C:\Users\mixma\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves121Views1like3Comments
