Hello, I admit, this is a weird one. 10 users have a sharepoint site synced to their computer, using onedrive "sync" feature. Everything works fine. Out of the blue, one of the users complains that the folder is not kept in sync; indeed there was no folder in sync in the onedrive settings. while we thought about a user mistake, all the other users started complaining about the same issue. We gathered onedrive logs and parse them to deoffuscate the strings and we found out that onedrive reports the Library to be unreachable LibraryErrorHandler::SendCoreMessageForUnreachableLibraries this triggers the deletetion of the registry key that manages the sync Removing unknown key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\SyncRootManager\OneDrive\XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Has anyone experienced this? I reached out to our CSP and they told me they can't help since there is no active issue.Solved115Views0likes6CommentsSymlink Directory Perpetually Shows “Sync Pending” Status
Client uses NAS drive for shared documents in a small office. He asked to be able to access these documents while traveling, so I created a Symbolic Link directory in his OneDrive folder (“%UserProfile%\OneDrive\NAS Files”) pointing to the mapped network drive (S:\). This worked for quite a while, i.e. several years, until recently when the OneDrive status for that directory only is stuck on “Sync Pending” even though the overall OneDrive status says files are synced. To date, I have tried the following: Quit and restart OneDrive app Unlink and relink workstation to OneDrive account Rename SymLink directory to “NAS Files New” Add test documents to directory on both workstation and in web-based OneDrive interface Deleted entire SymLink directory from both workstation and web-based OneDrive interface, waited for changes to process, and readded SymLink directory After the last attempt listed above, the directory partially synced again but did not complete and still shows pending status. Client can access some, but not all, of the needed files in the directory. Any suggestions for further troubleshooting steps? Many thanks in advance!Solved47Views0likes2CommentsSynchronization issue
I have an active Microsoft 365 subscription. My wife and I share Microsoft To Do lists. We recently noticed a synchronization issue: When she creates/deletes/updates tasks, they sync to me. When I create/update tasks, they don’t sync to her. When I delete tasks, they are deleted for her. We’ve already signed out and back in, and tested on different devices and platforms. Permissions are correct, and everything used to work before.283Views3likes6CommentsUnable to access Onedrive through manager
Attempt to login to one drive through manager and stuck on this before a screen white out. from dev tools Walked through this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/reset-onedrive-34701e00-bf7b-42db-b960-84905399050c and it did not help. Stuck doing the same loading error out in manager. Also attempted to reset onedrive directory. Same issue. When attempting to open or move files in the onedrive directory I get: Error 0x8007016A: The cloud file provider is not running Unsure if stuck in sync or what. This is day two of this occurring even after comp reset. Never ran into this issue before. Unable to find any indication of Microsoft onedrive being down either so this error is a bit confusing to me. Thanks for the help in advance!37Views0likes1CommentOneDrive folders when switching to a new computer
Hi All Let me first explain what I have setup I have created my OneDrive on my computer to sync only selected folders to my SD card. (Many reasons and I have found this very useful) I customized the OneDrive location using this article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/install-onedrive-on-an-external-drive-6307e24b-d7a4-493f-bf43-47345b2c11fe I now have a new computer and will be just moving this SD card over and all my data should be there and ready to go. I have only selected some of the OneDrive folders to sync and of them some of it is made locally available so I can work on them even if I am off line (like traveling on a plane with no internet) or am in the woods or very remote locations where I get no connectivity. Now to the question I plan to setup my new computer with the SD card and hopefully can follow the article (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/install-onedrive-on-an-external-drive-6307e24b-d7a4-493f-bf43-47345b2c11fe) and once more link up the SD card (with all the information it has locally) Where does Windows 10/OneDrive store information about which are the folder I have selected and what to do with them? I cannot find this information and maybe I do not need it - unsure about this. If I do as stated in article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/install-onedrive-on-an-external-drive-6307e24b-d7a4-493f-bf43-47345b2c11fe with the old SD card in my new computer will I be up and running or is there something I should follow to make this work well. Remember I cannot have the SD card in two locations to know the information. Any guidance or pointers from any one who has done this would be very helpful. I wish MS helps people who want to customize or adapt things by giving more clear instruction on how they design or document so people can customize. I struggle with this and how MS does their software. While on OneDrive - anyone written batch files on the computer to create onedrive folders, then share it with users along with setting expiration dates? These can be done on the browser, but one folder at a time with clickoholic interface and it gets repetitive very quickly if you have to do this for 40 students every semester - Of course MS has not way of doing this at all (at least to my knowledge and my reading)61Views0likes1CommentIssue with OneDrive

Many teams rely on Azure DevOps (ADO) for development and Jira for project or product management. While each tool is powerful on its own, things often get messy when work items, statuses, and updates live in separate systems. Integrating the two platforms can remove a lot of friction. Below are six common use cases I have seen from real teams, with concrete problems and solutions to make the connection between Jira and Azure DevOps work smoothly. 1. Keeping User Stories and Bugs in Sync Challenge: Teams use Jira for user requests and Azure DevOps for development tasks. Manually updating both systems is tedious and error-prone. Solution: Enable two-way synchronization so that changes in Jira automatically reflect in Azure DevOps and vice versa (including comments and status updates). This keeps bugs and stories aligned without duplicate work. “Before we integrated Jira with Aure DevOps, I spent too much time manually updating task statuses in both systems. Now, with the automatic sync, my team is focused on actual coding work instead of managing project statuses across platforms.” — DevOps Engineer 2. One-Way Sync for Project Management–First Teams Challenge: Some organizations plan and track everything in Jira but manage code exclusively in Azure DevOps. Developers only need the essentials pushed across. Solution: Use a one-way sync from Jira → Azure DevOps to bring over metadata like titles, statuses, sprints, and due dates. Developers see the context they need without cluttering both systems with manual updates. “We rely on Jira for all project planning and management, but the developers need a clean workspace in Azure DevOps. A one-way sync from Jira to ADO helps us keep things efficient and ensures developers always have the latest information without double entry.” — Product Owner 3. Creating Jira Tickets from Azure DevOps Tasks or Bugs Challenge: External partners or stakeholders may only work in Jira Service Management to manage tickets. Developers in Azure DevOps often need their work mirrored for transparency. Solution: Configure automated ticket creation in Jira when certain ADO tasks are tagged. Both teams can track progress in their preferred tool without duplicating effort. “We use Azure DevOps internally, but our external stakeholders only work in Jira. Automating the creation of Jira tickets based on Azure DevOps tasks or bugs has made collaboration seamless and ensured no work is lost in translation.” — DevOps Lead 4. Syncing Epics, Features, and Work Items Challenge: High-level epics might live in Jira, while features and tasks are managed in Azure DevOps. Without integration, visibility across systems is fragmented. Solution: Sync epics and features so Jira provides portfolio-level visibility, while Azure DevOps remains the system of record for detailed development work. This keeps roadmaps and execution aligned. “Tracking epics in Jira while managing the technical work in Azure DevOps used to cause us to lose visibility. Now, everything from high-level epics to individual tasks is in sync, so we always know where we stand.” — Azure DevOps Product Manager 5. Managing Multiple Jira Projects with One Azure DevOps Project Challenge: Large organizations often run multiple Jira projects (by teams or business units) but only one Azure DevOPs project for development. Syncing everything consistently is tough. Solution: Map multiple Jira projects to a single Azure DevOps project, syncing only the key data (titles, statuses, sprints, custom fields). This creates a unified development view without losing project-specific details. “We have multiple teams using different Jira projects, but we consolidate all development work into a single Azure DevOps project. Syncing across these platforms used to be a nightmare, but now everything stays aligned, and we’re able to track all initiatives in one place.” — Azure DevOps Engineer 💬 Have you integrated Jira with Azure DevOps in your team? I have a pc with onedrive business. It hosts my personal files and a a library shared across the workgroup members. Files are hosted in a certain directory of the "D" disk. Now the question: I would like to make it possible that a different windows user that belongs to the same sharepoint workgroup can sync the same windows folder on the D disk after logn to windows. My problem is that the file in the library should mantain the same paths even if the windows user changes, so I cannot create a different syncng folder for each windows user (not to mention the waste of space). Is there a way to achieve this?61Views1like2Comments
