You can still use Set-UnifiedGroup with the HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled if you want to hide a Private Team from search results.

But since the cmdlet is not just hiding the group/team in Outlook but also in Teams I am wondering what happens if we set the HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled=True and then set the the team to be visible in Teams. Or will the cmdlet HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled no longer have an impact in Teams at all and also the new cmdlet ShowInSearchAndSuggestions needs to be set accordingly?

In the latest information in Message Center (MC178666) they don't mention this, only the AllowPrivateTeamDiscovery setting.
When you creating Teams with HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled set to True did you create a Public or a Private Team? Currently you should be able to find Public Teams in Teams with HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled=True but not Private Teams with HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled=True or False. After the update you will be able to find Private Teams with HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled=True or False.

@Chris Webb I just stumbled across this issue this morning. I can see the option "discover private teams" in the global company policy enabled, but cannot seem to use it. Each Team should have a "Team Discovery" option in the settings, but I do not see that on any of our teams so that I can enable it. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/manage-discovery-of-private-teams.
Is it really possible it isn't rolled out yet? I see articles and info about it being announced in March of 2018!!!
