Hi fellow Teams-fans!
I encountered a problem with the class notebook created in our team for classes.
When I open the book in OneNote (both desktop and online) and try to "add/remove students" a site opens where I am asked to choose the notebook I want to add the students to. But the newly created class-notebook does not show in that list. There I only see notebooks I created in my own sharepoint-site. Since the new book is created within teams however, it lies on its own sharepoint site and does not show in my overview.
Any ideas how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
/Jan

Hi Magnus and thanks for your reply!
The thing is that I would like to avoid inviting to teams at this moment. I'd rather invite directly to the notebook instead.
The reason for this is that we have not officially rolled out Teams in our organisation yet, but will be doing so in the months to come. I wanted to save me some time and go through teams right away because I know that the project will be using teams in the future.
But if I have to invite them to teams now it will be confusing for them because they are not familiar with teams yet.
The question still remains though - as long as teams has the class-notebook option to add and remove students it should present you as a teammember with the notebook you just created in the list that is presented when pushing the button.

Anyone know of any progress on this long-standing issue?
We can remove/add pupils as Team members via the Teams interface but seem to have no way of doing so that will change the Notebook membership.
??

Afraid they dont - students added to the TEAm do not get added to notebook automatically and there is no way I can see to do it.
Hmmmm.

I was able to solve this at my school. It requires admin access or someone with admin access to do it for you. It appears that adding a student to the 'Team' doesn't add them to the Office 365 'Group'. I had a teacher gain a new student and came to me with this issue. I went into the Groups section in the admin portal and found that even though the student was added to the 'Team', she wasn't added to the 'Group'. I manually added her to the Group and then her Class Notebook for the Team was set up instantly. @Jan Lötberg

I had the same problem recently. However, they were in the group but there was no section for them in the Class Notebook. They even had trouble accessing the Class material section.
I created an assignment in Teams, and used a page as the resource material and a section was created for each student.
