Dynamics 365 Marketing add-on issue

Hello,

 

We have a customer who is using D365 Marketing app and currently they need additional contacts add-on to increase capacity limits. Since Customer Insights Journeys are now in place there is no availability to order these outdated add-on sku's. When we tried to order current equivalent sku (Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys T2 Interacted People) it also was not possible as it only works with up-to-date base licenses. 

 

Therefore, how could we increase required capacity for the customer on D365 Marketing app or how can we upgrade D365 Marketing license to Customer Insights in mid-term of subscription which would give as qualifying base license?

My apologies for the delay. 

 

I've checked with others and we all have the understanding is that if they're an existing D3654 Marketing customer, they can still purchase marketing capacity.

So if customer does just have the base D365 Marketing app without any add-on active under subscription there is no SKU to select neither when ordering in Partner Center or on current NCE pricelist. This is something what we have crosschecked practically. If possible I would be more than happy to receive instructions or other type of assistance regarding this.
Are you looking for the Marketin Attach license? If so, I was able to find it on the current price list.

No, contacts add-on (additional capacity) as stated initially- sku: Dynamics 365 Marketing Addnl Contacts Tier 1

Dynamics 365 Marketing add-on is no longer available for purchase as it has been superseded by Customer Insights Journeys. If you need to increase your capacity limits, you can purchase additional add-ons for Customer Insights Journeys.

@Joseph1205 Thanks for the answer. This is exactly the issue. Customer is using D365 Marketing application (and is allowed to do another renewal). It is not possible to add Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys Interacted People to Dynamics 365 Marketing Base. Find screenshots below:

as well as it is not possible to update Dynamics 365 Marketing app to Dynamics 365 Customer Insights during mid-term of subscription to comply with above requirements. 

 

So still practically your suggestion is not working. Still hoping for help to get this resolved.

Yes, I was able to find "Dynamics 365 Marketing Addnl Contacts Tier 1" on the current price list. 

 

My previous response was based on internal information from the Customer Insights team.

 

I'm sorry you're having trouble with this product SKU.  As far as I know, if you've confirmed that the product is available in your country, confirmed that you're reviewing the current price list, and have checked the Offer Matrix and still cannot find the product SKU, my only other suggestion is that you submit a support ticket in Partner Center.

@LicensingConcierge1, we have a ticket open, but we are not receiving proper attention. Can I know is there someone who I could escalate for required prioritization?

Unfortunately I do not have an alternative. The delay be due to the US holiday season.  Hopefully you'll get a resolution soon.

 

I do not handle support issues, however, if I find a resolution, I'll be sure to update you right away! :smile:

Any updates on this issue as we have the same problem.
Through different sources I have received a positive answer that this should be resolved until/ during January by adding old sku's as compatible base to current existing Customer Journey add-ons

Yes, existing Marketing customers should be able to purchase additional contacts.

 

However, I've been informed that there is an issue with the product SKU, which is why it cannot be purchased right now.

I do not have an eta on a resolution, and it's likely that I will not receive an update since technical support is out of scope for my team. If you have not submitted a support ticket, I suggest that you do so, which may be the route that you receive updates.

Have you have any further response on your ticket? MS has advised me that the additional add-on's will not be made available, effectively making the product purchased useless.
At least information what I received is that it should be fixed somewhere in January.
It is now possible to add Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys T1/T2/T3 Interacted People for additional capacity to D365 Marketing

As of January 9, 2024 the commerce system was updated such that owners of the old Marketing Standalone Base SKU can now buy the new Customer Insights - Interacted People T1-T3 add-ons.

(This unblocks true-up of quota until they are able to switch to the new base Customer Insights SKU).

While mid-term license upgrades to Customer Insights aren't possible, you can boost D365 Marketing capacity by purchasing additional "People Unified" or "People Interacted" packs through your licensing program. For other aspects or full license upgrades, consult your Microsoft partner for best options considering your specific needs and potential subscription impacts.
