Choosing a right physical edge device for PLCs

Team, 

We're building a solution that - 

• Connects to PLCs over Ethernet/IP 
• Supports OPC UA 
• Running edge runtime on Ubuntu 18.04 

Right now we've deployed edge runtime in a VM. we wanted to use a physical device instead of deploying edge runtime in a VM.

Any recommendations?

You can check out our Azure Certified Device catalog to view some options. I would recommend you filter by your specific requirements (e.g. Industry Protocols: OPC UA, Connectivity: Other, Operating System: Linux Other) to help narrow your search.

Since you are also looking for device that run IoT Edge Runtime, I would also recommend checking out our Edge Managed certified devices, which have been validated to run IoT Edge runtime.
