Stuck setting up our legal business profile for almost 2 months
We are trying to submit our Microsoft Word Add-on app for approval. When trying to set up our partner center Legal business profile, we've run into repeated business errors. The biggest issue is our Developer info. We've submitted our domain registration, ownership, GoDaddy domain portfolio, and even our articles of incorporation, but cannot get anyone to help us move past the employment verification stage. We've checked multiple times that the information we submitted matches our domain registration. At this point, we're out of ideas and could really use some help from someone at Microsoft. We've tried submitting support tickets (4 total) and all we got were copy+paste requests asking for the information we already submitted. This has been going on for over a month.
Also, our Partner page is stuck on identity verification and has been pending for days.

We've been stuck for 4 months now. It's a complete joke and there is absolutely no feedback and no willingness to help from Microsoft.

Support with Microsoft Partner Account Verification
Hi everyone,
I am struggling with my company’s verification in the Partner Center and I would really appreciate your help or insights.
My company is registered in Vietnam and our business registration certificate shows both the Vietnamese and the English version of the Vietnamese company name. I have used the English company name in the Partner Center, because we are known internationally by this name. Microsoft keeps rejecting our documents which we use for account verification.
I have submitted the following documents so far:
1.Business registration certificate showing my company’s name in both Vietnamese and English (which obviously differ)
2.Invoice for domain purchase showing my company’s name in Vietnamese
3.Domain registration form showing my company’s name in Vietnamese
4.Screenshot from WHOIS showing my company’s name in Vietnamese
I realized that the company name used in Partner Center and on the attached documents may be an issue. I translated all the Vietnamese documents into English, submitted them to Microsoft by email, and received a request with instructions on how to upload these documents in Partner Center. I was following the instructions, but there was no place where I could reupload these documents, so I contacted Microsoft again. They replied that my issue was ‘under review’ and later I received an email stating that ‘In reviewing your account, we have found that you do not meet Microsoft standards for eligibility. I am unable to provide any additional detail and I will be archiving this ticket’.
This issue is affecting my company’s ability to achieve Microsoft Solution Partner status, which is crucial for our business, and these emails from Microsoft are not helpful. Could anyone provide guidance on how to escalate this issue or successfully resolve it? Has anyone faced similar issues and found a solution?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hien

I'm afraid there is nothing to be done after they share that messaging with you. :(
If your company doesn't meet their requirements, they will not be able to partner with you. I'm sorry I don't have better news. My suggestion is to move on as you won't be able to get verified at this point unfortunately.

Hi Jill,
So in my case, do you think that when I submitted my original documents in Vietnamese, vetting team will have their own way to translate it into english to understand it or they also need our translation version?

I have tried appealing. All it did was get someone to send me the following message (see below), which I reply to with the requested documents, and they never respond again (after 2 days or ever). I have submitted everything from our WHOIS to our domain invoice to our articles of incorporation. Can you please help us?
Dear Partner,
Thank you for reaching out. We need to verify that your company owns the domain that you used when you enrolled into Partner Center. According to Microsoft guidelines, we are unable to verify your account until you provide a domain ownership or renewal document from your domain provider. This document must include your company’s name and domain, which should match the details in your partner profile:
We need to verify that your company owns the domain that you used when you enrolled into Partner Center. This can be a WhoIs lookup, or an invoice, purchase receipt for the domain, but it MUST meet the following criteria:
1) List a domain that is an exact match to the one you are enrolling in Partner Center.
2) Include your company’s name (also match the company name you are enrolling into Partner Center)
3) Have a purchase, renewal date not older than 12 months from the current date and not expiring in less than 60 days.
We will follow up in 2 business days if we have not received a response.- JillArmourMicrosoft

TalkingTree have you double checked your paperwork to make sure it hits all the qualities they are specifying above?

Microsoft is a highly unreliable and non trustful company we have the same problem for 2 1/2 months.
Be sure that the hostname of your company somewhat matches your domain name. Use real names for email addresses (not sales, contact, etc). Be sure the information matches the D&B DUNS entry if you don't have one get one.In our case the Identity verification in the developer section links us to a page which shows permission denied, and it gave us a link to file another ticket. This verification however works for "Partners" it links to a website with information about au10tix, even the verification for the "Partners" section worked.
There we received following answers from the website we got to through the "Fix Me" Link:
1. Ticket closed:
Hello,
Thanks for connecting us!
Kindly may I request you to create a new ticket with Microsoft alias so we can assist you further.
I am closing this ticket as external.Regards
KawirangliuTip to Microsoft: fire this person. They cannot assist you further since you cannot raise a ticket there only a Microsoft employee can do that.
----2. Ticket closed:
Hi,
Please open a new ticket under the Microsoft and LinkedIn alias, as we do not provide service for tickets other than Microsoft and LinkedIn.
Thanks & regards,
Kuldeep Singh
Tip to Microsoft: Kuldeep and the other ones should communicate directly with the Partner Portal goons rather than dropping the ticket and leaving the issue unresolved.----
3. Ticket closed:
Hi Team,
Please ask Microsoft contact to raise ticket. We do not deal with external contact directly.
We are closing the ticket.Regards,
ShejalTip to Microsoft: raise his salary for writing the first clear message at Microsoft.
----
So why do they put the link there where the user should raise a ticket if they don't accept any message from the user. It seems like every single goon at that Microsoft entity has a default message and you cannot communicate with them they will never read what you write into the message to them. Shejal's message was pretty clear at least. Another goon at Microsoft has to raise the ticket to resolve the problem it seems...
For 2 1/2 months the support was not helpful at all.
We are reaching out to other entities the latest one BBB better business bureau and filed a complaint. Let's see which other relevant websites we can find out there. This entire Partner Portal is out of control at Microsoft.
