Uncontrollable Background Zoom in Teams Mobile Calls – Logos Become Unreadable
Hi Microsoft and other members.
I’m experiencing a very frustrating issue with backgrounds in Teams on mobile, especially during calls. No matter how I adjust my background (resolution, format, logo placement, etc.), Teams zooms unpredictably, making my logo and other important elements completely unreadable.
I have tested multiple resolutions:
- 1920 × 1080 px → Teams zooms in and crops randomly
- 2340 × 1080 px (fits my Samsung S24+ screen) → Same issue
- 3120 × 1440 px (native screen resolution) → No improvement
- 1080 × 1920 px (portrait) → No effect
No matter what I try, the logo gets stretched, cropped, or completely disappears, making the feature useless for branding and professional use.
I have also tried:
✅ Placing the logo in the center, top, bottom – nothing works
✅ Adding extra padding/margins – no effect
✅ Enabling "Blur" and turning it off – no change
✅ Testing on PC first – works fine on desktop, but not on mobile
It is incredibly frustrating that a simple feature does not work correctly on mobile. Teams is a professional tool, and having a properly placed branding background is essential for businesses and organizations.
Microsoft, can you please fix this issue or provide exact guidelines on what background dimensions work correctly on mobile during calls? It’s absurd that we have to guess without an official solution.
Anyone else experiencing this? Let’s get Microsoft to fix this!
Best Regards SL
