Files in teams I want to not allow them to download files but give edit permissions
Hi All, Wondering if you can help. I want to stop users downloading from file section of my team and stop them uploading their own files. I only want them to edit the template given to them...

You can edit the underlying SharePoint document library and change the members group to View only, you need to do that in the advanced permission options in the document library.

Teams is based on the "equal access for members" principle, you should probably look at a different solution given your requirements (custom SPO site for example).
