Cortana schedules SKYPE meetings instead of Teams meetings

I'm loving mailto:Cortana@calendar.help inside MS OUTLOOK. But I have a problem. When I instruct Cortana to, "Schedule a TEAMS meeting on xxyyzz date" Cortana schedules the meeting but instead of adding a TEAMS link... the meeting link is SKYPE for business.

How do I change this?

Thanks for your help.

  • BrandonContreras  I'm having this same problem.  I say "and add a Teams meeting", but Cortana adds a Skype meeting.  I'm trying by changing the setting to "Other" instead of "Company Standard".

BrandonContreras I have the same question, and am also wondering why when I ask Cortana to call someone that the default service is Skype for Business rather than Teams? Is there a way to change this?

I really appreciate the increased integration and functionality of Cortana, but I don't understand why Skype for Business is even an option any longer given that Microsoft will be terminating support for the Skype platform in the future.

westCOchris what i have discovered since posting this...  i the calendar.help settings for "remote meetings" there is a radio button for "online meeting details" where you can select Company Standard or your own meeting URL.

It appears that "company standard" is the issue. This is controlled by our corporate Outlook admin I believe. So further investigation is required. Not sure if this helps you?
