Forms: Time input question
In Office 365 Forms, I am attempting to create an event request form. I do not appear to be able to add a question for TIME of Day. I see a template for DATE but not TIME. In Google Forms "include Time" is an option for Date Questions in the contextual sub-menu. Is there someplace to add this function perhaps that I am missing? Ultimately I would like to add a script to the form that would auto-create an Outlook Calendar event on a shared calendar at the date and time on the form submission.

Well, four years ago they said they added it to their backlog items. That's quite the backlog. I've pretty much learned that MS will only add features they think are important but they give people a way to request features to placate them into thinking they have input. As for this feature, a workaround or PowerApps is really your only option.

Michael_LongNot sure if you all are aware, but they have something called uservoice where you can specify "wishlist" items, and this is where feature requests are posted. This may be a better vehicle to use to get this "makes too much sense to implement but for some inexplicable reason, has not been" feature added. Here is the URL https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public
Hope this helps.
- KiBangerCopper ContributorI am including a specific post asking for this. Please vote, as I have. Thanks.

William Mattison could you please elaborate more in what cases the time input is really important for you? What kinds of question will need time input and what follow-up actions requires the time?

Yuanquanwe're creating a form to book appointments for our Christmas service. Time is their expected arrival time so we can have the appropriate packages ready for them.
The Bookings app is not appropriate because:
- it can't paginate custom fields
- it can't export custom fields and we need to be able to import these into our central system
- we'll be seeing 200-240 people per day per site (5 sites, so 1000+ people per day), so we don't want bookings to go into a calendar, we just want to print off a list that we can tick off and annotate.

Yuanquan I use forms to coordinate events at a University. Ultimately, I would like to integrate form responses into the creation of Calendar events. Essentially, soliciting for event details from an a la carte menu, identifying relevant persons, and then creating events in the calendar and scheduling people and resources.

William Mattison I was able to find this suggestion (https://microsoftforms.uservoice.com/forums/386451-welcome-to-microsoft-forms-suggestion-box/suggestions/18574672-time ) which currently has the most likes. With 40k views so far on this post, I'm hoping with enough likes we can get this bumped up on priorities. I'd like to be able to use Power Automate to create calendar invites based off Forms.
- DaraArdalanCopper ContributorIt has been 4 years abd Microsoft still have not added this simple and crucial feature to Forms, astonishing.

William Mattison CHRISTIAN CLAMME I'm creating a survey for the community to report suspicious activity in the neighborhood. Filling in for Time and Date of sighting is a must. I had to create the survey in another platform.

William Mattison and a simple, basic, general required field format on almost any form ... is still missing !!! The only possible explanation is that the Form developers are paid by Google 😉

I think this is what you're after...I have a "Start time" and "End time" field on my form as text fields. The user needs to enter the times as 24hrs 00:00 format.
In the Flow, 'Create Event' step, under 'Start time' I then enter the date response and the start time response, adding a T in the middle. Same for 'End Time'. Like so:
This successfully creates a new calendar appointment at the right date and time entered.

Any idea if / when this will be incorporated? This is so basic!

There is not even a time picker yet... Having just used Google Forms earlier I am so surprised that a so basic feature is not possible to use
