Forms: Time input question
MicrosoftWilliam Mattison could you please elaborate more in what cases the time input is really important for you? What kinds of question will need time input and what follow-up actions requires the time?
Yuanquanwe're creating a form to book appointments for our Christmas service. Time is their expected arrival time so we can have the appropriate packages ready for them.
The Bookings app is not appropriate because:
- it can't paginate custom fields
- it can't export custom fields and we need to be able to import these into our central system
- we'll be seeing 200-240 people per day per site (5 sites, so 1000+ people per day), so we don't want bookings to go into a calendar, we just want to print off a list that we can tick off and annotate.
Yuanquan I'm using Forms to allow our team to enter the time they start overtime and the time they finish.
after that I use the calculation [end-time - start time] * hourly rate to generate the amount to pay them.- YuanquanThanks for the sharing, We will put time input template in our backlog
- Hello Yuanquan, I have a flow in power automate to create tasks in Planner. Start time set to be form submit time and due time the day after(default next day 0:00). It would be great that Forms have a time template, so a due time could be some time today (later then form submit time point of course)
Yuanquan I use forms to coordinate events at a University. Ultimately, I would like to integrate form responses into the creation of Calendar events. Essentially, soliciting for event details from an a la carte menu, identifying relevant persons, and then creating events in the calendar and scheduling people and resources.
YuanquanIn my work i see plenty of situations where i would want to ask for a time input.
i work in education. i frequently use forms to ask parents or colleges questions about when they are available or when they will come to a place etc.
So time input is important to me.
