Hi. I have been working to help some of my friends and people in FB group get through their challenges with Teams. Since I don't work in that field I have never seen the education version. Is there a way to get a copy of it? Or is it all wrapped in the education license? How different is it?SolvedEric AdlerJun 01, 2020Iron Contributor1.4KViews0likes2CommentsTenant/domain best practices for nonprofil with School
I work as an ITPro in EMEA with good general knowledge in Office 365 tenant/domain design and have a question for all of you working in the Education space since I usually just work with Commercial tenants. I’m helping a nonprofit (a few hundred users) which has a tenant (contoso.com) with mostly nonprofit licenses but also Commercial licenses. They are now starting "community schools" and need to adapt their design. What would probably be the best design and what do you see in the field? Just continue with the one tenant and one domain approach and just start adding A1 licenses? Add another domain or subdomain dedicated for the schools (school.contoso.com or schoolname.com)? Or is best practice to dedicate a new Office 365 tenant and dedicate a domain?SolvedJonasBackOct 07, 2019Iron Contributor2KViews1like2CommentsHow will the MVA be consolidated
Hi there, I hope it is OK to ask this question here. Microsoft started to deprecate the MVA at the 31st of January 2019 and it will be shut down in JUne as far as I know. It is stated that you should finish your courses before retirement in order to earn your certificates. In Microsoft Learn we now have "points". Will these certificates be converted into points when they are migrating to Microsoft Learn? What can I do with these points? Ok, it is needed for some fame, but will it be consolidated maybe to here in the tech community? When Power BI first came out you could share dashboards with the free plan. Now it's £7.50 per month per user to have the ability to share data even if on A3 or A5 licenses. But that's what an education institution needs - shared data dashboards! Some schools I know were using it have reverted back to spreadsheets because of the cost. Any one had experience with overcoming this?Solvedta_pbOct 02, 2018Iron Contributor5.9KViews2likes1CommentTeams for Education space
There is a Space for discussion here in the "Education Sector" Community for "Classroom" but nothing for Teams, nor is there an Education Space in the "Teams" Community I and many others have many questions about the use of Teams in Education and specific education features such as Assignments. Where are we best to post them?Solvedta_pbApr 24, 2018Iron Contributor7.9KViews6likes11CommentsEmbed Feature in OneDrive for Business
Why is there no Embed feature for OneDrive for Business? As a school with an Office365 tenancy and an active VLE we would like to be able to embed resources on pages the same way we can do it for OneDrive personal. Would have wished that MS had looked more at OneDrive personal when developing an education solution rather than the business based OneDrive for Business.SolvedGideon WilliamsMar 03, 2018Copper Contributor12KViews0likes5CommentsAdding an Existing OneNote notebook to Teams
We just started exploring using Teams. I wanted to add my existing OneNote book. The Help says I can , but when adding a new OneNote tab there is no option to do that. Then I ran into a post that said that option is not available for EDU customers. Hmmm...? Can anyone confirm or clarify this? I am knew to the EDU world and just assumed the software would be the same as corporate. Thanks!Solvednull barryh4Feb 16, 2018Copper Contributor2.7KViews0likes1CommentOption to create different types of teams is missing?
Hi, I was working with a different school yesterday to help them set something up on OneNote. I noticed that when I created a new team there was no option to create the different types of team (PLC, classes, etc) as shown in the picture. I was worried that it had been withdrawn but when I checked it out it is still available in teams on my home school. Anyone know why a school might not have access to this? I checked all the admin settings but I couldn't see anything obvious. ThanksSolvedMartin CurtisJan 17, 2018Copper Contributor2.3KViews0likes1Comment
