Whiteboard migration
Hi! Before MS Whiteboard for personal accounts shuts down, I want to say a huge thank you to the developers for the wonderful product I’ve been using constantly since 2020. It became my primary tool—especially due to remote learning in our region since 2022—and it worked reliably even with a very poor internet connection. It is a real shame that support for it is ending. Best regards. How do you structure a Power BI learning path for beginners?
I would structure a beginner Power BI learning path around the complete reporting workflow, starting with the data and gradually moving toward analysis and sharing. 1. Start with Power BI fundamentals Understand the difference between Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service, along with reports, visuals, semantic models, filters, and dashboards. 2. Learn how to connect to data Start with simple sources such as Excel and CSV files. Then explore other commonly used data sources as your confidence improves. 3. Build Power Query skills Learn how to clean and transform data before creating reports. Important topics include changing data types, removing duplicates, handling missing values, splitting columns, merging queries, and appending data. 4. Understand data modeling Learn how tables relate to each other and why a well-designed model matters. Focus on relationships, primary and foreign keys, fact and dimension tables, and basic model design. 5. Create basic reports Practice using charts, tables, cards, slicers, filters, and drill-through. Rather than concentrating only on visual design, try to build reports that answer specific business questions. 6. Introduce DAX gradually Once the data model is understood, start with simple measures using functions such as SUM, COUNT, DISTINCTCOUNT, and CALCULATE. More advanced DAX can be introduced after the fundamentals are comfortable. 7. Publish and manage reports Finally, learn how to publish reports to the Power BI service, work with workspaces, configure data refresh, and understand appropriate sharing and access options. A useful beginner project is a simple sales dashboard. Take an Excel dataset, clean it with Power Query, create a basic data model, write a few measures, build the report, and publish it. This gives beginners practical experience with the entire Power BI workflow. The main idea is to learn in the below order data preparation data modeling visualization DAX publishing This provides a stronger foundation than trying to learn advanced Power BI features immediately. From my perspective as a career and learning professional associated with Edoxi Kuwait, I find that beginners usually make better progress when they understand how each Power BI skill connects to an actual reporting task, rather than trying to learn all the available features at once.

In the rapidly evolving digital landscape, the adoption of cloud computing has become a critical factor in driving innovation and efficiency across various sectors (Saeed Baanqud, Engagement in cloud-supported collaborative learning and student knowledge construction: a modeling study, 2020) (Zulqurnain Ali, 2018). One such sector that stands to benefit immensely from this technological shift is education (Aydin, 2021) (Tubay, 2021). This article explores the concept of cloud adoption among students, particularly through the lens of cloud sponsorship, and how this can play a pivotal role in training the next generation of working professionals. The advent of cloud computing has revolutionized the way we store, access, and share information (Saeed Baanqud, Engagement in cloud-supported collaborative learning and student knowledge construction: a modeling study, 2020) (Zulqurnain Ali, 2018). Its potential to provide scalable, customizable, and cost-effective solutions has made it an attractive proposition for educational institutions (Aydin, 2021) (Tubay, 2021). Students, who are inherently eager to adopt new technologies, find the accessibility and reliability of cloud services conducive to their academic pursuits (Saeed Baanqud, Engagement in cloud-supported collaborative learning and student knowledge construction: a modeling study, 2020) (Zulqurnain Ali, 2018). However, the benefits of cloud adoption extend beyond the confines of the classroom. As the demand for cloud computing skills continues to grow in the professional world, students equipped with these skills are likely to have a competitive edge in the job market (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). In this context, cloud sponsorships emerge as a promising avenue to bridge the gap between academia and industry (Patrick Beer, 2020) (Huma Akram, 2021). This article aims to delve into the intricacies of cloud adoption among students via cloud sponsorships and its potential to shape the future workforce. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and case studies, we seek to provide insights into how this synergy of education and technology can help train the next generation of working professionals. Cloud Adoption Among Students In the digital era, students have shown a propensity for adopting new technologies that enhance their academic experience (Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). Among these technologies, cloud computing has emerged as a significant player (Saeed Baanqud, 2020). Research has indicated a positive correlation between the use of cloud services and academic performance (Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). Cloud computing offers several benefits that make it an appealing choice for students. The scalability of cloud services allows them to handle varying workloads, making it a flexible tool for academic tasks (Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). Customization features enable students to tailor their digital workspace to their specific needs (Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). Furthermore, the cost-effectiveness of cloud services makes them a viable option for students who may be operating on a limited budget (Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). The accessibility of cloud services ensures that students can access their work from anywhere, at any time. This is particularly beneficial in the context of remote learning, which has become increasingly prevalent in recent years (Saeed Baanqud, 2020). Finally, the reliability of cloud services ensures that students can trust these platforms with their academic work (Saeed Baanqud, 2020). This trust is crucial in fostering a positive attitude towards the adoption of cloud services. The adoption of cloud services among students is therefore driven by a multitude of factors, including scalability, customization, cost-effectiveness, accessibility, and reliability. These factors collectively contribute to the positive impact of cloud adoption on students’ academic performance. Cloud Sponsorships for Students In an effort to foster cloud adoption among students and equip them with the necessary skills for the professional world, several tech companies have initiated cloud sponsorship programs (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). These programs provide students with free or discounted access to cloud services, thereby facilitating hands-on learning and practical experience (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). One such program is Microsoft’s Azure for Students (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020). This initiative provides students with free access to Azure services, enabling them to develop and deploy applications on a professional-grade cloud platform (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020). Similarly, Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers AWS Educate (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020), a program that provides students and educators with the resources needed to accelerate cloud-related learning (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020). Another noteworthy initiative is Adobe’s Creativity Scholarships (Tubay, 2021), which provide creative cloud licenses to students, thereby fostering creativity and innovation (Tubay, 2021). These sponsorships not only provide students with the tools they need to succeed academically but also equip them with the skills that are in high demand in today’s job market (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). Cloud sponsorships play a crucial role in promoting cloud adoption among students and preparing them for the professional world (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). By providing students with access to state-of-the-art cloud services, these programs are helping to train the next generation of working professionals (Noria Saeed Baanqud, 2020) (Tubay, 2021). Impact on Professional Training The advent of cloud computing has significantly transformed the professional landscape (Patrick Beer, 2020) (Huma Akram, 2021). As enterprises increasingly migrate their operations to the cloud, there is a growing demand for professionals equipped with cloud computing skills (Patrick Beer, 2020) (Huma Akram, 2021). In this context, the role of cloud sponsorships in equipping students with these skills cannot be overstated (Huma Akram, 2021). Cloud sponsorships provide students with hands-on experience in using cloud services, thereby equipping them with the skills that are in high demand in today’s job market (Patrick Beer, 2020) (Huma Akram, 2021). By providing students with access to state-of-the-art cloud services, these programs are helping to train the next generation of working professionals (Gupta C, 2022). Moreover, these programs also foster a culture of continuous learning, which is crucial in the ever-evolving field of cloud computing (Patrick Beer, 2020) (Huma Akram, 2021). I am a teacher. I want to show my students about basic polygons. The topic I will focus are vertices, number of sides and diagonals. I have problem in recognizing the feature of the Geogebra where I want the polygons to show the diagonals too when everytime I changed n1. I already made the sliders to connect with the polygons. when n1= 12 then the vertices is 12. So, is there anyone knows how to make the diagonals in the polygons connects along with the sliders? Thank you.
Secure Browser for test taking
I have a series of teachers now wanting to use a method to secure the students computers for when they are taking tests so that the desktop and browser are locked down no allowing additional tabs or screen shots to be possible. The intent is to minimize the students ability to cheat. I haven't been able to find a native way to do this only a few options that the district would have to subscribe to gain access to. Anyone know of a solution that would help resolve this type of issue within the Windows 10 platform? Thanks Richard
