SCCM Software Updates not installing to endpoints
Hi! I have a new built SCCM(MP,DP,SUP)(forestA), I have a remote DP on the other forest(forestB). I am currently testing software update deployment on my setup and upon checking to my testing client computer, the computer won't update. I have created sample windows 10 update and deploy that to my testing collection. WUAhandler.log has no error but in the Updatedeployment.log error is GetUpdateInfo: Failed to get targeted update error = 0x87d00215. i have seen this link https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f660d3c6-72a6-4ad6-80e3-2b6a5583341a/clients-not-receiving-windows-update?forum=ConfigMgrCompliance#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20error%20code,status%20in%20the%20SCCM%20console. for the error code receive but i can succesfully distribute the content in the remote distribution point in the other forest. What might cause the error?
System Center 2019 Data Warehouse installation problem
Hi, Installation of System Center 2019 Data Warehouse fails with domain admin (the same user that installed SQL 2017 database and reporting). Error is in the picture below _CreateSRSFolder_SC SQL 2017 Reporting Services links /ReportServer and /Reports are working. I have made setting ServicesPipeTimeout 600.000 in the registry (first link below), added domain admin in Reporting Services Configuration Manager with full rights on SRS Folders (second link below) and verified SRS files rsssrvpolicy.config files as in the last TechNet link below. Untrusted Certificate when installing Microsoft Edge
Hi, when I create a deployment using the Microsoft Edge Wizard in MECM 2002, then deploy it, the install times out. If I run the automatically created command manually, I get a message "Do you want to run software from this untrusted publisher. CN=Microsoft Corporation, O=Microsoft Corporation,L=Redmond, S=Washington, C=US and is not trusted on your system. Only run scripts from trusted publishers." . I'm assuming this is related to the fact that the ps1 scripts are now signed. Can anyone tell me how I acquire this cert? I'm assuming i need to add it to group policy...
SCCM Client Installation
I successfully installed Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Version 1902 on windows server 2019. I managed to install sccm client (through Client push installation), the ccmsetup service is running on my laptop but when i go to SCCM Assets and Compliance, from Devices my latop client status is NO. I restarted ccmsetup service on my laptop several times but the client status on SCCM is still NO. I created an application to deploy Google Chrome, the problem is that after successfully installing Chrome, it is not detected by the SCCM client so it still shows up as available in Software Center and does not appear in the installed application tab in Software Center. It not alone either, so far Office 365, Visio 2016, Microsoft Teams and Notepad++ all do not work. Initially I left the detect application set to the default that the MSI set it to when I initially deployed the application. When that didn't work I changed it to a different registry key, then I changed it to detecting Chrome.exe of version xxx, then I changed it to does Chrome.exe exist after each successive one failed. After each change I Update Content in the SCCM console under deployment type, waited 10 minutes, Ran the Machine Policy task on the client, waited 10 minutes, ran the Application Deployment Evaluation task, waited for 10 minutes. I followed all those steps above for Office 365, Visio 2016 and Notepad++ as well. I also deleted the Chrome application as redeployed it. No change. Any thoughts? And what log file could I look to, to see that the application detection sequence looks like to try an detect what it is I am doing wrong. Or what is preventing the client from detecting the applications?
SCSM install error
Hi guys, I am trying to installed SCSM and connecting to a backup version of our live Service manager database which is now on a new SQL VM but seeing the below error: Believe I am using all the correct user accounts and we use across the board so not sure why it is complaining. Hello. Over 90% of our sccm clients are failing client check however, Client activity looks great. I think the issue is we use Crowdstrike, but in our SCCM Client settings, we have a Endpoint Protection policy that is set to "Yes" for "Manage Endpoint Protection Client on Client computers". From what I can tell, if using a 3rd party anti-virus, this setting should be set to No? Is that correct?
SCORCH Runbook running infinately without any logs?
Runbook triggered via an API call through Orchestrator and the runbook appears to be running with run symbol on the Runbook name , but no log is recorded and runbook is not running in real and looks like running infinately? Could you please help with this issue at the earliest as this is impacting production.
Different ways of SCOM Integration with Third Party Applications
Hello, We have a application which needs to be integrated with SCOM. We were using various methods from management group for getting different data. But as per documentation : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/microsoft.enterprisemanagement.managementgroup.getmonitoringperformancedata?view=sc-om-dotnet-2016 GetMonitoringPerformanceData() and some other similar performance API are now obsolete. Now we are exploring alternatives to using this. Can you help with below questions: 1) Should we change the entire data collection mechanism from SCOM SDK to something else or just find a workaround for obsolete api's and wouldn't it break the consistency? 2) What are the possibilities of using SQL Query approach instead of SCOM SDK, and what are performance issues based on this approach? What are the resources where in detail i can get idea about using SQL query approach. Here i can see a mention of using sql as a way https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/scom/plan-thirdparty-integration?view=sc-om-2019 3) How can connectors and orchestrators be used here for getting data from SCOM. Where can i get detailed documentation for using this approach? 4) What are possibilites of using REST API approach, as mentioned here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/operationsmanager/. But there are no API's for getting events data and similarly many other data. Also response of API does not contain detailed data for example in case of alerts very limited data is given compared to SCOM SDK. Thanks a lot.
