SCCM Software Updates not installing to endpoints
Hi! I have a new built SCCM(MP,DP,SUP)(forestA), I have a remote DP on the other forest(forestB). I am currently testing software update deployment on my setup and upon checking to my testing client computer, the computer won't update. I have created sample windows 10 update and deploy that to my testing collection. WUAhandler.log has no error but in the Updatedeployment.log error is GetUpdateInfo: Failed to get targeted update error = 0x87d00215. i have seen this link https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f660d3c6-72a6-4ad6-80e3-2b6a5583341a/clients-not-receiving-windows-update?forum=ConfigMgrCompliance#:~:text=According%20to%20the%20error%20code,status%20in%20the%20SCCM%20console. for the error code receive but i can succesfully distribute the content in the remote distribution point in the other forest. What might cause the error?96KViews0likes22CommentsWUAHandler.log error OnSearchComplete - Failed to end search job. Error = 0x80240439

we set up a testing environment for bitlocker purposes and because of new features for bitlocker we updated yesterday from 1910 to 2002. Update was done fine but now our 3 clients dont contact SCCM anymore. we tried to install new ccm client manually but ccmsetup.log shows a lot of errors. After checking PKI we solved on problem and clients can request new certificates again (CRL error solved) but ccmsetup is still full of errors. a quote: The 'MY' of 'Local Computer' store has 2 certificate(s). I created an application to deploy Google Chrome, the problem is that after successfully installing Chrome, it is not detected by the SCCM client so it still shows up as available in Software Center and does not appear in the installed application tab in Software Center. It not alone either, so far Office 365, Visio 2016, Microsoft Teams and Notepad++ all do not work. Initially I left the detect application set to the default that the MSI set it to when I initially deployed the application. When that didn't work I changed it to a different registry key, then I changed it to detecting Chrome.exe of version xxx, then I changed it to does Chrome.exe exist after each successive one failed. After each change I Update Content in the SCCM console under deployment type, waited 10 minutes, Ran the Machine Policy task on the client, waited 10 minutes, ran the Application Deployment Evaluation task, waited for 10 minutes. I followed all those steps above for Office 365, Visio 2016 and Notepad++ as well. I also deleted the Chrome application as redeployed it. No change. Any thoughts? And what log file could I look to, to see that the application detection sequence looks like to try an detect what it is I am doing wrong. Or what is preventing the client from detecting the applications?32KViews0likes12CommentsSCCM Bits Error 0x80200010 no active Networkadapter was found
Hi Guys, we have a problem in our VPN Site for many clients. It seems to be that the clients can't download Software from SCCM DP or I can't deploy Software to the client in VPN. If i start a VPN Session with my client and want to deploy software to that I get an Error by BITS 0x80200010 - There are currently no active network connections available. The process will be repeated by BITS once the adapter has a connection. I found an article that this is a bug in Windows 10 1903 and 1909 and should be fixed in 20H1 but unfortunately can't wait so long for the release of 20H1. Does someone has the same issues with GlobalProtect VPN and SCCM Deployments or someone has a workaround for that issue? Hi, everything else with the 2002 upgrade appears to be fine however our CMG is now broken. There were no issues with it prior to the upgrade. All CMG clients show as "Device online from internet - True", "Device Online Status - Offline" we have around 200 clients regularly connected via CMG. CMG is listed with a status of "Ready" and status description of "Configuration update completed", however if I run the connection analyser it fails on the last step "Testing the CMG channel for Management point:OURInternalMECMServer.fqdn" The description is "Failed to get ConfigMgr token with Azure AD token. Status code is '500' and status description is 'CMGService_No_Connector'. A possible reason for this failure is the CMG service failed to forward the message to the CMG connection point. There is no CMG connection point that is connecting to the CMG service. For more information, see the SMS_CLOUD_PROXYCONNECTOR.log on the CMG connection point." I have tried stopping and restarting the service. no change. Cloud engineers informed me that when I upgraded the azure resource was locked but only with do not delete lock so don't believe that should have been an issue, but had them remove the lock while I restarted the service to see if anything kicked in, nothing changed. SMS_Cloud_Proxyconnector.log has clusters of these warnings starting when the upgrade happened. "ERROR: Failed to handle response from server. Cound be intermittent network issue. Exception: System.Net.WebException: The request was aborted: The request was canceled.~~ at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncResult asyncResult)~~ at Microsoft.ConfigurationManager.CloudConnection.ProxyConnector.HttpConnection.HandleResponseCallback(IAsyncResult asynchronousResult, Int32& statusCode, Byte[]& payload)~~ at Microsoft.ConfigurationManager.CloudConnection.ProxyConnector.ConnectionBase.ResponseCallBack(IAsyncResult asynchronousResult)" Cloudmgr.log is error free, everything in there looks functional. CMG-ourcmgname-ProxyService_In_0-CMGService.log is full of "WARNING: There is no proxy connector connected to forward the message" and the occasional message like "ERROR: The HTTP client 203.24.71.17:41062 sends invalid request. Exception: System.IO.InvalidDataException: Disconnected client sending message~~ at Microsoft.ConfigurationManager.BgbServerChannel.BgbHttpListener.ReceiveMessage(String connectionId, String clientCert, BgbMessageType messageType, UInt16 messageMajorVersion, UInt16 messageMinorVersion, String header, String body, Byte[] bodyBuffer, HttpListenerContext context)~~ at Microsoft.ConfigurationManager.BgbServerChannel.BgbHttpListener.listenerCallback(IAsyncResult result)" Are there changes required for the CMG after you upgrade to 2002 if it was working prior to the upgrade? our machines are azure AD joined. internal machines are receiving he new client, however none on CMG have updated. the client package shows under content for the CMG DP. Our Cloud Engineers restarted CMG, no change. I'm running out of ideas, anybody have any thoughts on what I can do next?Solved19KViews0likes1CommentSCCM Client Installation

Hi, Before I get started, I should point out that the error message shown in the Wuahandler.log (0x8024000e) is one I have tried troubleshooting and not found a solution to, so for this post, I am just wanting to know how to get windowsupdate.log from a remote computer without powershell. We regularly get messages on machines that have failed updates in Wuahandler.log that say I need to check windowsupdate.log for more information, however as we know you can't check windowsupdate.log in the windows directory because it hasn't contained anything for a long time now. (I have included a copy of the message at the end of this post) PSRemoting is disabled on our network for security. My question is, how can I gather the data that powershell would normally collect from the remote machines that makes up windowsupdate.log. I could set up a Script in MECM to run from there, something simple like Get-WindowsUpdateLog -LogPath "\\$LogFileTargetServer\TEMP\WindowsUpdateLogs\Logs\$Hostname-WindowsUpdateLog.log" I'm just checking before I complicate things that there isn't already an option I'm not aware of like a command line maybe or something similar. This same error appears in the logs on various machines **************************************************************************** This is the message seen in Wuahandler.log, repeated regularly. Hi, We are facing problem where SCCM 2203 applies DoNotConnectToWindowsUpdateInternetLocations registry key for windows update policies. I went trough all GPO and there is not any policy which apply this setting, but each new laptop or VM installed through SCCM contains this registry key. I did a test and I build as simple Task Sequence for installing Windows 11 as possible without domain without SCCM Client App. Windows 11 is clear image without any customization, just added install.wim into SCCM. Unatended.xml also does not contains this. So this settings must come up from SCCM itselfs. I went through Default Client Settings and also didn't find any item which could be related. Only what I think could be related is "Enable software updates on clients" which I have "No" because I do not want to manage windows updated with SCCM but standalone WSUS. Any idea why fresh SCCM deployed windows, which is workgroup without domain, contains DoNotConnectToWindowsUpdateInternetLocations registry key? (GP cannot be applied) Edit: When I delete this key manually, it is never added again, so it's really just SCCM install task sequence or something which must add it. Simple TS I used for testing if registry key will be applied. ThanksSolved13KViews0likes3CommentsSoftware center iwservice_device_service_not_found

The issue: I'm not getting through the Prerequisite checks for MECM. The biggest struggle is the SQL check stating: SQL Server service running account "The logon account for the SQL Server service cannot be a local user account, NT SERVICE\<sql service name> or LOCAL SERVICE. You must configure the SQL Server service to use a valid domain account, NETWORK SERVICE, or LOCAL SYSTEM." Below a screenshot: The Configuration: This is a brand new CM setup (there was no CM in the past), so I've chosen to Install the primary site as a stand-alone site. All CM Roles on a single server named CM01 Database is a Named instance in our SQL server failover cluster (running with separate Domain accounts for the DBE and SSA) My Toughts: It seems that de CM Setup wizard is trying to perform it's prereq checks assuming that SQL is locally installed, and therefore it fails on this prereq check. What I've already tried/checked: - Of course I've searched the web for solution, and as stated above this has nothing to do with the SQL server instance running with local or system credentials - Double checked if SQL is running with a Static port, and made sure SQL has the right collation - No ports are blocking by Windows Firewall (on CM01 and the SQL server) - No ports are blocked by our network firewall (Checkpoint) - Made sure port TCP:1433, 4022, 1434 and UDP:1434 are open and reachable between CM01 and SQL and vice versa. I know that it's recommended to run the SQL DB on the CM server itself for performance reasons, but in this particular case it's needed to have it installed on the SQL Server Failover cluster (a company compliancy thing) What could be the cause of this issue? I'm really stuck on this one.13KViews0likes2CommentsSCCM to be used as Asset Management Tool

Also is it the same as other Asset management tools? I just searched and find that many asset management tools can be integrated to it. Thanks!Solved12KViews0likes2CommentsSCCM Client Partial Install
In my SCCM CR 2207 environment I am not using HTTPS so no PKI. ISS is healthy, boundaries are configured properly. After the upgrade to CR 2207 I've noticed that I can't install the SCCM client onto any domain joined machine. The client installs and all log files appear in c:\windows\ccm\logs. When you look in Control Panel \ ConfigMan icon you only see Machine & User Policy, nothing else. then I found this. In the file called LocationServices.log I see this over and over Attempting to refresh certificate information from AD LocationServices 11/2/2022 9:35:32 AM 9512 (0x2528) Failed to refresh certificate information from AD LocationServices 11/2/2022 9:35:32 AM 9512 (0x2528) Refreshing Certifcate Information over HTTP LocationServices 11/2/2022 9:35:32 AM 9512 (0x2528) Raising event: instance of CCM_CcmHttp_Status { DateTime = "20221102163532.451000+000"; HostName = "SCCM1.OurDomain.net"; HRESULT = "0x00000000"; ProcessID = 8736; StatusCode = 0; ThreadID = 9512; }; LocationServices 11/2/2022 9:35:32 AM 9512 (0x2528) Status Agent hasn't been initialized yet. I have granted full permissions on just about everything I can find including in AD the System Management container. I even deleted the container, restarted the SMS EXEC service and it recreated everything. My machines in my collections show the Approve grayed out. What else would cause this?11KViews0likes1CommentUntrusted Certificate when installing Microsoft Edge
Hi, when I create a deployment using the Microsoft Edge Wizard in MECM 2002, then deploy it, the install times out. If I run the automatically created command manually, I get a message "Do you want to run software from this untrusted publisher. CN=Microsoft Corporation, O=Microsoft Corporation,L=Redmond, S=Washington, C=US and is not trusted on your system. Only run scripts from trusted publishers." . I'm assuming this is related to the fact that the ps1 scripts are now signed. Can anyone tell me how I acquire this cert? I'm assuming i need to add it to group policy...11KViews0likes13Comments
