Edge Dev/Canary enterprise extension sync broken?
I noticed on my test system that setting up a new profile in Dev/Canary sync doesn't work correctly - specifically, extensions do not install properly. In my stable channel build everything is working, however when it attempts to sync to Dev/Canary only the "forced" extension I have enabled via policy shows/works, where as the others are not in the extension list, but are present in the AppData user data folder. I've attempted to reset sync and have everything get pulled down again, but the issue persists. I've tried clearing out the profile and re-installing Dev/Canary to see if having it force re-sync would help, but it does not. In the recent Dev/Canary branches I noticed that the mica and acrylic effects were removed even with the flag "Show Windows 11 visual effects in browser" enabled, but this has now found its way into the Stable channel and there are no more transparency (mica/acrylic) effects in the browser at all, including in menu dropdowns. Starting with the latest Edge Dev build today (139.0.3394.0) if you have your new tab page set to display the Bing wallpaper, the theme will automatically change to select a colour based on the picture without your consent. And if you attempt to reset the theme or change to another one, opening a new tab will just force it to change again. When clicking the Edge Dev Icon, a full screen window in light blue colour opens, with no text or any graphics (no title bar, no symbols..), after a few seconds, this window crashes. It is not possible to start Edge dev. I tried to repair it within "installed apps" in Win Settings, but with the same result. Restarting the Computer did not solve the problem. As the title states, if you have the Microsoft Editor enabled in Edge (this appears to be any version from Stable to even Canary), no spell or grammar check will work at all. If you enable the standard editor, you will get at least spell check back. This screenshot is with the MS Editor enabled - it seems to know what is spelled incorrectly but gives you zero suggestions. Enhance videos in Microsoft Edge (Flag: #edge-video-super-resolution) is missing critical options in setting, making it impossible to function properly. In Version 136.0.3240.29 (Official build) beta (64-bit), as well as the previous beta build, it is missing the option to choose from three methods of video enhancement, as shown in screenshot. The latest Dev/Canary builds have moved the profile icon from the top left back to the address bar near the extension/plugin list. We have the OrgBrandingCustomName cloud policy enabled which no longer works due to this change. Is this expected behavior? In the latest Dev channel build, clicking on the extension button in the toolbar you see the UI is all strange and only shows one of your extensions taking up the whole window. You are also missing the bottom part of the UI. I've submitted feedback but I'm not sure if it captured a screencap of the issue. Hey, any thoughts from the insider community about https://github.com/microsoft/MicrosoftEdge-Extensions/issues/179 - we're seeing Edge 130 breaking many enterprise extensions that rely on managed storage for provisioning. This is disasterous for us, leaving our users without the vital functionality we provide in the extension. We're trying to lead customers through the Edge version rollback procedure, but it's very messy and disruptive. Hi All! I'm a foreigner and beginner so sorry for my bad English. Windows 10 Pro x64 latest build, automatically updated. And native Edge also. Now its version is 129.0.2792.52. I always using context menu in its 'Favorites' in order to open links in new Tabs. But some days ago, I found out that 3 top strings in that menu (Open in a new tab, Open in a new window and Open in a new window InPrivate) are suddenly not active (not clickable). At the same time another string in that menu (Cut, Change, Rename, Copy link, Delete) still active. What's wrong and how to fix it?
