Microsoft Edge PDF Reader - signature validation warning for official signatures
Since the last edge update we are running into the following issue, which triggers lots of support tickets on our side. It seems that the edge internal PDF Reader now supports validation of digital PDF signatures. This new feature however is incomplete and causes a lot of confusion for edge users. "Official" signatures are labeled as "Unknown Signature" and "The validity of the signature is still unknown": "Official signatures" means qualified signatures from members of the EUTL - the European trust list as defined in ETSI TS 119 612 („Trusted Lists“): [...] the European Commission publishes a central list with links to the locations where the national trusted lists are published as notified by Member States. This central list, called the List Of Trusted Lists (LOTL), is available in both a human readable format and in a format suitable for automated (machine) processing XML. Parts of the edge PDF reader seems to come from *dobe itself which adds additional confusion since in their products (*dobe reader, acrobat etc) the signatures are correctly verified. They support this list for several years now (next to their own AATL list). I tried to find out whether this feature is 'work-in-progress' or it is a bug however the last published roadmap is quite old and doesn't give helpful information regarding this aspect. So my question is: Is full support of PDF signature validation including support of the EUTL planned and if so when?Friend's redeemed store credit doesn't get added to account (Microsoft Rewards)
A friend of mine from Texas has been trying for a while to redeem points from the Microsoft Rewards program for store credit, mainly to buy a game she really wants to play, but she never gets the credit. She gets confirmation mail regarding the store credit, but she was never able to redeem the store credit. No code, no additional dollars added to her account, nothing. I never had this issue before, but I suppose it's simply because I'm from another country where the rewards program still allows you to redeem store credit through codes. In Texas, if I read it correctly, the store credit is supposed to be added to the account almost instantly, but it seems like the store credit is still pending. It doesn't help that it has to be spent in 3 months' time, and she had been attempting to redeem the store credit for so long that a lot of it may already be expired before she even properly receives it. She tried contacting support, but got little to nothing out of it. I'd like to get in touch with someone and see if this issue can be resolved. She is having it rough and I just can't stand there and be unable to help her. Can anyone help her (or perhaps us) out? I'd really appreciate it.
On Facebook, I can't select a number of things
When I go into settings and try to change my password, Facebook asks me to select an account--Facebook or Instagram, and Edge won't let me select either of them. When I click on notifications, and bring up replies or likes on any of my posts, I can't select anything, including likes, and I'm forced to go to my profile page in order to interact. This works fine in Google Chrome.Have Secure Network (VPN) and AI Mode been removed in Edge 141.0.3537.85?
I recently updated to Edge version 141.0.3537.85 and noticed that two features I regularly use seem to have disappeared: The Secure Network (VPN) toggle is no longer visible under edge://settings/privacy/security, and I can't find any related flags. The AI assistant on the default page (Copilot or AI mode) is also missing. I'm not sure if this is a bug, a rollout change, or something specific to my setup. I haven't found other reports online, so I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. These features were important to my workflow, especially the VPN and proxy support. If they've been intentionally removed, I’d appreciate some clarification or changelog reference. If it's a bug, I hope it's being tracked. Any insights or confirmations from other users or the Edge team would be helpful.
Edge Pdf Viewer does not support page=Fit (only FitV or FitH works)
Dear community, I found that the Edge Pdf Viewer does not allow to display a pdf so that its first page fully fits into the window (no part of the PDF is out of the viewport). But I need to combine both behaviours, and thus Fit would be the right option, which seems to be ignored by Edge. I apologize since this is more than likely going to be in the wrong section. TBH, it took me entirely too long to even find somewhere even remotely close to where this should go. Anyway... I used up all of my rewards points in order to get a gift card to pay the past due balance. As you can see in the pictures, I should have more than enough to cover it yet there is absolutely nowhere to use the funds to pay it off? I'm...probably missing something simple...or insanely convoluted, neither would surprise me! Thanks for reading! And again, apologies if this is ...wrong place.
Edge has hijacked PDFs
I have it set to always download PDFs. its not doing this. I am getting a bar across the top and the PDF opens in edge and I then have to download it from there. Acrobat is set as the default app for PDFs. How can I get it back to just downloading PDFs? If this is yet another ploy by microsoft such as 'use recommended browser settings' pop up every month then I am out, its the straw that broke the camels back.
Adblock extensions stop working Edge iOS on clearing browsing data
Ghostery and uBlock Origin Lite are available on Edge iOS as MV3 extensions for ad blocking but they stops working when Clear Browsing Data option is clicked for either time period, Last hour or All Time For making them work, Edge needs to be restarted or extensions need to be re-enabled I request Edge iOS team to fix this issueWhy are some websites buggy with Edge?
Hello, I have been having this issue with a lot of websites with edge lately, at least for a few months. I've tried, resetting to default settings, reinstalling edge, and deleting cookies and cache and this error occurs. It happens a lot of with youtube where I get buggy comments like in the photo with the loading circle and then a lot of comments won't load past a certain point. It's driving me crazy and I'm afraid of having to switch browsers soon, I'm hoping somebody maybe knows what's going on and can assist. I tried it without extensions, same result as well. For other websites sometimes it doesn't load and I have to fully refresh the page like reddit. When this loading glitch happens with youtube, I have to make a new tab then it fixes itself but bugs out after a few videos again.please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in
I can’t log in to my outlook account while connected to my home network, which has the default configurations from my Mexican ISP. I already tried multiple devices connected to the same network. I need to use my cellular data instead., which allows me to log in correctly. I’m not using a vpn or anything like that and it’s been happening since a couple of months ago. I am using Microsoft Edge version 140.0.3485.66 on macOS. In this version, the Extensions menu button (the puzzle icon) is forced to stay visible on the toolbar, and the toggle in Appearance / Customize toolbar settings to hide this button has disappeared. I use some extensions, but I don't want the extension (puzzle) icon to show on the browser interface. You just need to roll back this feature to the state it was in the previous version. Keeping the Edge interface clean is a very good reason why I prefer Edge. I like using Edge instead of Google Chrome, and this is an important reason! I don't want you to make it more and more like Chrome!Why can't I find the option "Send tab to your devices" in the tab menu?
I was using Edge stable Version 140.0.3485.66 (Official build) (64-bit), and it's up to date. I was looking for an option "Send tab to your devices" in the tab menu. Someone told me that try using preview version of Edge, and it worked. But I'm having problems during sync on Edge beta preview. The Edge beta preview is a brand-new install application. Unfortunately, it can't sync extensions data and open tabs from Edge standard that I'm using. So, I have to re-configure every extension manually. And imports all the scripts installed in tpmk and re-configure them manually. Chrome extension managed storage policy
Hi there, I've developed a chrome extension and now we want to deploy it using Intune. Force install of extension works great but I can't pass managed data to the extension. Here is the scheme: { "type": "object", "properties": { "apiKey": { "title": "API Key", "description": "An API key to communicate with server.", "type": "string" } } } This is the policy that I created in Intune: OMA-URI: ./Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/Chrome~Policy~googlechrome~3rdparty~extensions~eagefwefpbjpewefliifpgfgoewfknnmk~policy Data type: String Value: {"apiKey":"mykey123"} But it doesn't appear in chrome://policy and when I get policies in my code with: const result = await chrome.storage.managed.get(null); The result is empty! What is the problem here? And how to fix it?
