How can we set the default language for video transcripts for all users? We want to provide the ability for people to record meetings in Teams and get a transcript with the least amount of effort. Currently, each user needs to set the default language in Stream so that they can get a transcript made for their recorded meeting. This is far from optimalWays to generate transcripts for videos over 4GB
Hi MS Community; Streams for sharepoint won't generate transcripts for videos over 4 gigs. We're required to have transcripts for all videos for accessibility since we're a school. Is there an alternative to generate transcripts that the team can use? We don't have the time or resources to manually generate a transcript. I used teams to capture the text for one video, but I've got to manually create the markers etc.3.3KViews0likes10CommentsIs there an alternate way to download transcriptions?
I have a user that created a transcription during a 4 hour long Team meeting but now receives an error when trying to download it. 1. In Microsoft Teams, clicked Calendar 2. Clicked on the meeting invite 3. Clicked Transcript 4. Clicked Download > Download as .docx (also tried .vtt) 5. Get this error: This issue occurs both for her and the meeting owner. It also occurs whether they use the desktop app or the web version of Teams. This has been occurring for several days for this particular meeting. I have read that transcripts are stored in the user's Exchange Online account; is it possible to retrieve it from there? Or from Teams Admin, or using Powershell, ShareGate, or by any other method?Solved2.6KViews1like1CommentGenerate transcript with speaker name in Microsoft streams
Hi , I tried to generate transcript for video on Microsoft Stream. All looks good except that it is not showing the speaker's name. When I downloaded the .vtt file, I saw there is time corresponding to each chat. Is there any way by which I can get the speaker name as well with each chat ? One more question I have is what does GUID corresponds to in .vtt file ? Any kind help will be much appreciated. Thanks, MehakAccess to Teams Transcripts with Azure Communication Services
I'm using Azure Communication Services to write an app that connects to a Teams meeting that is recording and creating a live transcript. Is there a way to access and show that transcript to the client using my app -- who may have joined as an anonymous user? I see there is a Communications Service API -- as well as functionality in Graph API -- to get the state of recording and transcripting, so we can notify the client that the call is being recorded and transcripted. But I see no way to actually access and show the live transcription (unless they are actually using MS Teams). I want to show the transcription in my app. Thanks!Solved1.5KViews0likes1CommentShare your voice: Video Accessibility (captions, etc.)
In this quick poll, we want to find out about accessibility needs for videos in your organization. The poll is anonymous, and should take about one minute to complete. https://aka.ms/StreamAccessibilityPoll Results from the poll will be used almost immediately to prioritize upcoming work in Microsoft Stream (based on SharePoint).Transcript Skipping Post-Editing
Has anyone had issues with transcripts skipping and not running smoothly post-editing? I've been doing the editing in the .vtt file, and whenever I upload the file, the transcription does not run smoothly. The only edits that have been made to the file are to the narration, not the encoding. Thanks!Honest question - what do I use Stream for now if it's all in SPO OD4B?
I am a Teams Admin and SharePoint Admin and OneDrive Admin. I am I guess a Stream Admin too, yet I don't know what to do with Stream. People record and it goes into OneDrive or moved to a Site in SharePoint. Do I only get transcription? Will that be in the video in OneDrive or SharePoint? I want to encourage the thousands of users I work with to use Stream, yet it seems that it is so stifled and poorly executed, like no bulk upload or metadata, etc. I wonder what the benefit of using it is? It is tough to get people to use Microsoft 365 and when to have Stream be limited, it is annoying. I just think people should put a bunch of video's in SharePoint / OneDrive (which I don't like as if a person leaves, it can be "lost" if people don't catch it in time).
