Hi I have been trying to get my head around things, and had a bit of help but now I am stuck. I'm involved with a charity and we use the cloud to share essential information with volunteers. Our previous system, which closed down, allowed us to share files / folders without people having an account. However when I tried to share a folder with one of my test email addresses, it wants me to create a microsoft account, with authenticator. Now while I fully understand the implications of security, the share is literally one folder which they can't edit anyway. Is there any way around this? It's going to cause grief and I believe will put people off. I just want to be able to share a folder that people can access via the link. Thank you for your help.66Views0likes2CommentsShare a single folder with multiple viewers

Hi, We currently have a situation where we are trying to install a program locally, but we want some of the data files (master data for projects, company settings for the most part) to be stored on a fileserver. The installer allows for this change to set UNC path to the share manually, and in our case recommends doing that. The problem we are facing occurs when trying to go on with the installation, the problem reports back that write-protection is enabled. I have the share mapped as a nettwork station, and can create folders/files through explorer. But I think the issue here is that the share mapped using the "Connect with different credential" option, which is required since the share is on a server in a workgroup and the client I'm using is joined to AzureAD. And when i run the installer for the program it is ofcourse ran with my azure user (local administrator), and I guess it tries to write to the UNC path with that user ofcourse. Is there any way i can let the program write to the share without it being to much of a security risk? The same program also has a nettwork license installed on a different workgroup server. I also had to add local users to that server and do some DCOM permission tweaking for that to work. For the license part i can authenticate with the local server user, but thats not an option when trying to install with UNC path for the file/folder structure.78Views0likes1CommentChanging plan - What happens to shared links
Hi, I want to know if, when switching from a Microsoft 365 Family subscription to a Personal subscription, my existing OneDrive shared links remain active ? Does the Files and folders i've shared will continue to be accessible to those I've shared them with ? Thanks116Views0likes2CommentsCo-organizer cannot unmute or share
For a recurring Teams meeting in which I am the organizer, one of my co-organizers was not permitted to to unmute or share during a call where I was not present. We tested the meeting later, together, and even after I joined, the co-organizer's camera, mic and share buttons remained grayed-out, and this co-organizer was listed in my People pane as an Attendee. Here are the Meeting Option settings I have: This person is included in the 'Choose co-organizers' list 'Who can present' is set to 'Only organizers and co-organizers'. 'Who can bypass the lobby' is set to 'People in my org, trusted orgs, and guests'. This person is in my organization (same company). This person joined from their Outlook calendar. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix so that my co-organizers can conduct a meeting that I (as the organizer) cannot join? On certain workstations in our organisation, we are unable to request/give control while on a screen sharing session in Teams. The following message appears when trying to do so: It's an inbuilt Intel graphics chip and there doesn't appear to be any way to turn on hardware acceleration. Also, please bear in mind that this affects multiple PCs. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated. John16KViews0likes5CommentsOneDrive Webinar: Q1 Roadmap Roundup

Good morning, please excuse if the terms I use are not correct, Excel is not running in English, so all terms I use are translated. I've got an Excel sheet with some data links to other Excel sheets. Let's call this sheet A. I access the other sheets (let's call them sheets B-F) via sharepoint, they're shared by a colleague via onedrive. Now I shared my sheet A with a third colleague, works fine. BUT: As the data in sheet A should be automatically updated from sheets B-F, the latter colleague is asked to sign in with another account, because he has no access to sheets B-F. Can I somehow give access to the relevant data of sheets B-F for each user of sheet A without giving them access to whole files? Thanks in advance for your help!5.4KViews0likes6Comments
