50 TopicsGroup Owned Forms - Restricting Access
Hello, all. I have a group owned form. Lets call this "Training Log Form". The group lets call it "R&D". This is a well established MS Group with members, and owners. So each member can view this form, its outputs in excel are already linked to the SharePoint site that we use daily. This is all great, only one issue. Anyone that is a member of this group can edit the main contents of this form (questions, sections, answers, title, etc.). We have a collection of different document controlled forms (typically in excel format, setup as templates) and they are document controlled through our SharePoint system. How can I restrict access of who is able to edit these forms internal to this "R&D" Group? Any help would be great, thanks!235Views0likes2CommentsMS Forms Access & Roles
Dear Community, Previously, an MS Form created by a past intern was lost when he left the company because he was the sole owner. To prevent this from happening again, I would appreciate if you could help with some clarification on a few points: Ownership I understand that, to avoid this mistake, ownership has to be shared and sharing or allocating the MS Form within a Teams Channel can help prevent ownership issues. Am I correct? Would the same approach work if the form was shared within a SharePoint or another platform? Is there a recommended best practice for this? Roles and Permissions How can I ensure that certain individuals are designated as owners (with editing and viewing rights), while others are restricted to only filling out the form without accessing submitted responses? Continuous Access and Updates for Submitters Is it possible for individuals who fill out a form to retain a copy of their submission and have the ability to update it later? If so, how can this be configured? Not sure if these are easy tasks, I came across multiple opinions and techniques online but it's still confusing. Thank you in advance for your assistance!181Views1like1CommentEveryone can read the analyzed Excel-file
I make a Forms-Quiz in Forms. Then I make an assignment in Teams (for class). The assignment is "New quiz" and then I choose the form I made seconds ago. My students answers the Quiz and I'm ready to look at the result. I choose to analyze the answers in Excel as I can from the Forms review window. An Excelfile is made, but it is placed in the Teams-library for everyone to see. The security is set to "Teams-members": Can edit. Even Teams-visitors can show the file. I don't want my students to be able to see each others answers. This file must be put elsewhere or at least with another security-setting! I really hope there are someone reading this and can take action to set this right. Best regards Oddgeir142Views0likes5CommentsCategorized Pins
My organization just switched from Zoom to Teams. It has been a challenge after using a different platform for so long not to compare them. Teams could greatly improve by allowing users to categorize group pins. Currently, there are only two options in chat: Pinned and Recent. While these are helpful, I find that I need additional ways to organize my chats. I would like to have Pinned chats for frequent contacts and separate Pinned chats for various teams I am working with, which I could expand or minimize. Often, other users create groups without renaming them, leading to multiple chats with the same person, identified only by their name. If I had the ability to create my own categories for each pin, it would greatly simplify navigation.74Views0likes0CommentsUpload file option is freezed while creating a new form.
Answer is in the settings, you need to change who can fill this form, if you have selected Anyone, the upload function will not work for security/malware issues. Also, if you select only people from my organization, then it will start working fine. BR Hitesh Ved 8390703219309Views0likes2CommentsCannot access Form within Teams Group all permissions verified
We have a new employee who has been setup as a member of our microsoft 365, Teams and Forms. She can login to forms.microsoft.com and access the form for edit. She can preview the form but is told she has no permissions if she tries to submit a filled out form. She can get into the Teams group and see the excel sheet that the Form edits/modifies. She gets a "you don't have permission" message when she attempts to access the form. Please help! thanks Mark233Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Project for Teams & Power Automate
One of my colleagues has created a Project Plan on Teams using the Microsoft Project app. It is very similar to the Microsoft Planner tab. but I just cannot seem to create any flows for this in Power Automate. There is a Project Roadmap connector in PA but there doesn't seem to be a way to automatically add tasks or create buckets in the Project App.Solved445Views0likes2CommentsMicrosoft Graph API using for external user
We have been working with the Microsoft Graph API to fetch the mail list of an external user using the following endpoint: https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/messages. However, we are encountering an issue with the response returned by the API. The response is as follows: stdClass Object ( [@odata.context] => https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/$metadata#users('4e75df4a-021c-457d-a7b4-8bcabaae1cbb')/messages [value] => Array ( ) ) As you can see, the response does not include any list of mails. The value array is empty. Could you please provide guidance on why this might be happening?352Views0likes1CommentLost access to form and responses
Recently, I conducted a survey and had the responses transfer into an excel file so the extended team could track the results. As of yesterday, I tried to check in, as well as someone else with access, and we have both lost access. I believe it might be due to me deleting a Teams environment that the Form was created in, not knowing that that would lock me out of the form. It is not in my deleted forms, so I believe it still exists, but as I was the sole owner and have no ability to get back into the Teams environment that was removed, I'm wondering if there is any solution to this!719Views0likes1Comment
