When I go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Find My Device, the page appears blank. The page fails to load any options or status information related to device location features. Closing and reopening Settings does not resolve the issue, and the problem persists even after restarting the computer. This issue occurs on my version of Windows 11 and prevents me from managing the location settings for lost or stolen devices.0Views0likes0CommentsWin11 Cannot be Activated after Changing Motherboard
I have the product key of Windows 8 Pro (Not OEM). Then I upgraded it to Windows 11 when it is free. Yesterday, my computer was broken and I bought a new motherboard and CPU. However, now, it said that it needs to be activated. Then I contact the support. They have verified that my Windows 8 Pro key is correct and the license can be transferred to the other machine. However, they also don't know how to help me to activate. They asked me to post here to get more comprehensive support. Thanks in advance! When dragging a file from a window that is partially obscured by another window, the cursor sometimes selects or highlights multiple unrelated files instead of the intended target file. This occurs more frequently when windows overlap slightly or when dragging on a high-DPI display. This behavior slows down file management and reduces precision.31Views0likes2Commentswait i just found out you can open settings with a keyboard shortcut
Okay so I've been using Windows for like... years now? And I just accidentally pressed the Windows key and the letter I at the same time and settings popped up. I literally stared at my screen for a solid 5 seconds like "what just happened" Tried it again and yeah it works every time. Windows key + I = settings. I've been clicking the Start menu and scrolling down to the gear icon like a caveman this whole time and apparently there's been a shortcut the whole time???? I feel both smart and incredibly dumb right now. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else out there is still clicking through menus like me lol8Views0likes0CommentsWindows 11: Antivirus causes high CPU usage
My antivirus software is causing persistently high CPU usage, often peaking at 100% and slowing down my entire system even during idle periods. This performance hit occurs during both scheduled scans and real-time protection, and I need advice on adjusting settings or finding a lighter security solution.141Views0likes3CommentsWin11 Wireless display connection drops after several minutes
When connecting to a wireless display via Miracast, the connection initially works fine but disconnects after 5 to 10 minutes of use. Before disconnecting, the screen freezes. The connection temporarily resumes after reconnecting, but the problem reoccurs. This issue occurs regardless of whether an Intel or AMD wireless adapter is used, even when the Wi-Fi signal is strong and no other devices are connected.60Views0likes2CommentsWindows11 Sound settings don't remember per-app volume after reboot
After adjusting the volume levels for each app in Sound Settings → Volume Mixer, all app volume levels will be reset to 100% after the system restarts. Although the system volume is retained, the custom volume settings will be lost.102Views0likes2CommentsWhy does Windows 11 keep changing my default apps?
I swear I've set my default browser to Firefox like five times now, and every couple of weeks Windows 11 just casually switches it back to Edge. Same with my PDF viewer. I don't remember asking for this. Is this happening to anyone else or is Microsoft just really determined to keep me in their ecosystem?94Views0likes1CommentWin11 File Explorer address bar dropdown list shows only 5 items despite having more history
When you click the drop-down arrow in the File Explorer address bar, only the five most recently visited folders are displayed, even if the history is set to save more entries. The full list is not displayed, which makes it more difficult to quickly navigate to previously visited locations. Clearing the history or restarting File Explorer does not restore the full list.110Views0likes3CommentsWindows11 Mouse cursor disappears when hovering over certain UWP apps
When you hover the mouse cursor over the interface of certain UWP apps, the cursor becomes invisible until you move it out of the app window or hover over a clickable element. This does not occur in the Win32 application environment. Ive tried resetting the affected apps and updating the graphics card drivers, but neither solution worked.65Views0likes2Comments
