143 TopicsScroll Bar on Likert Question
Hello, My colleague and I have noticed a horizontal scroll bar appear on the Likert scale questions on MS Forms (see image). This appears to be the standard for 'Mobile' versions of MS Forms but it seems to have been applied to the 'Computer' versions of the forms as well. I have tested this on various monitor resolutions and with Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome but we cannot get the horizontal scroll bar to disappear, to show all of the radio buttons available on the Likert scale question at once. Does anyone know if there is a setting available to turn these horizontal scroll bars off? Thank you!6.7KViews11likes19CommentsExcel Does Not Sync Until Opened
I created a form linked to an Excel spreadsheet in SharePoint as well as a Power Automate approval flow triggered on submission. In addition to sending out confirmation/approval emails, the flow also updates the associated Excel spreadsheet with the approval/denial. The flow was working fine until last week but since then has failed 2 consecutive times. The failures appear to be related to the flow unable to find the automatically generated submission ID in the Excel spreadsheet. When I open the linked spreadsheet, the submission is not immediately present at first but the file does sync at that point and the entry appears. When re-triggered after the sync, the flow completes successfully. Not sure if it is related, but MS form/linked spreadsheets have been updated by Microsoft recently and I was prompted to go through an update process for synced Excel spreadsheets. I completed the update with this specific form last week after the flow failed for the first time. TLDR - my form only syncs with the spreadsheet once opened. Any ideas how to get MS Forms to update the spreadsheet in real-time as opposed to when it is opened?3.3KViews3likes3CommentsMicrosoft Forms daily alerts for old/expired survey
Hello, Our team uses Microsoft Forms within Teams to run quick surveys (ex: how many people will attend X so we can plan logistics). A survey was posted in a team chat on August 19th, and now we get an alert on this old survey every day. Any idea how to make this go away? I've played around with adding Forms to the team chat, where I'm able to see the results or collaborate, but I can't deactivate the form. Can you setup a form to only notify users once, and not every single day? Thank youSolved4.8KViews2likes4CommentsConditional Form Questions - For multiple answers in a "choice" question type
Hi I've been trying to find a way to have nested conditional questions in a form so only appropriate questions are being asked based on previous responses. (It doesn't look like branching is the answer to this situation) I have the following question in a form; What I'm trying to achieve here is when a responder selects option 1, a new section of questions appears for them to fill out. If more than 1 option is selected, then a set of questions should appear for each response (but should not be shown if the option is not selected). For example, in the image below, this section should only show up if option 1 in the above question is true/selected, then questions 6&7 should only appear if their respective response in question 5 is selected. The output from this form will be piped into a power automate flow and therefore we want finer granularity in the questions. If this is currently doable, can someone please enlighten me? If this isn't currently doable, can someone please tell me a good way of submitting this as a feature request as I think it would make Forms a much more powerful tool?2KViews2likes1CommentForm can not send data to sheet - in company domain
Dear sir, Company domain: catensys.com We use Microsoft enterprise platform, we found one issue today: When we submit form answer, it do not send data to sheet. Form record list 4, but sheet only have 3 rows. And sheet display note: 10% synchronized. This workbook is checking for any changes from Microsoft Forms. Please support us to solve this issue. Thanks!71Views1like2CommentsThis form can't be distributed as it is asking for personal or sensitive information
Two issues, one with what the system flagged, and the second with how the system is not designed to help you correct the error. First Issue: It took me an hour of clicking in form fields and making minor text changes to get the system to momentarily clear the error and allow me to make a copy of the form for rough cut deletion of the offending section. That was a pain and part of what I will get into in part 2. When I finally had a copy I could work with, I deleted sections until I got to the question “EA Passes” with the subtext “how many Early Access Passes does your crew need”. This was the offending question. EA Passes. I changed it to EA Games, EA Medical, EA Social Security… these were all fine. But “EA Passes”. Flagged. This is not sensitive info, you may wish to have your system let that one go. Second Issue: and this is user satisfaction related. The system flags and makes the entire form unusable rather than flagging the individual question or phrase. Having a helpful popup showing what is flagged and making the form usable without this question would be wonderful! Especially considering the fact that the term flagged was not clear or even remotely sensitive in nature. Thank you for considering 1. The flagging of “EA Passes”, I changed this to Early Access Passes to get past it, and 2. Some help fixing/flagging the issue/phrase rather than dynamiting the form and forcing you to delete most if not all of your work to try to find the issue.81Views1like0CommentsAdjusting of questions in form & connecting responses to another workbook to sync answers
If i needed to adjust the questions in my form how will the previous answers be affected? I need to rearrange some of the questions in my form (for vehicle maintenance) if i move the location of the answer will it affect any previous answers? I also need to sync the workbook that the form responses go to on share point to our vehicle maintenance excel spreadsheet saved on Dropbox to a historical sheet. How can I connect the forms so when new responses are submitted, they will auto populate a copy of the response to our Dropbox excel workbook on the correct worksheet?48Views1like0CommentsMS Forms Access & Roles
Dear Community, Previously, an MS Form created by a past intern was lost when he left the company because he was the sole owner. To prevent this from happening again, I would appreciate if you could help with some clarification on a few points: Ownership I understand that, to avoid this mistake, ownership has to be shared and sharing or allocating the MS Form within a Teams Channel can help prevent ownership issues. Am I correct? Would the same approach work if the form was shared within a SharePoint or another platform? Is there a recommended best practice for this? Roles and Permissions How can I ensure that certain individuals are designated as owners (with editing and viewing rights), while others are restricted to only filling out the form without accessing submitted responses? Continuous Access and Updates for Submitters Is it possible for individuals who fill out a form to retain a copy of their submission and have the ability to update it later? If so, how can this be configured? Not sure if these are easy tasks, I came across multiple opinions and techniques online but it's still confusing. Thank you in advance for your assistance!207Views1like1CommentMS Forms: multi-select checkbox answers in grid questions
Is there a way in MS Forms to add a multi-select checkbox grid for survey questions? I'm aware of the existing Likert scale grid option but that only allows for selecting one response in each row. I want respondents to able to select more than one option in each row. Google Forms has this feature. If it is not available in MS Forms, how does one go about submitting feedback to have this feature added to Likert scale questions?865Views1like2CommentsIncrease response rate?
Curious if anyone has any tips on how to increase engagement and response rate with surveys via Microsoft Forms? I've previously used Typeform and it's definitely catchy and a dynamic experience ... curious if anyone has tried to replicate that in MS forms or has any tips to share.Solved871Views1like4Comments
