Classic Site With Modern Libraries Not Templating To Modern Libraries
Users have one main site collection and create multiple sub sites using classic site template. Users converted libraries to modern experience in site used as template. After saving the site as template and creating new site using that template, we expected the new site would retain libraries modern experience and custom formatting settings but these settings/configurations are not templating over to new site. Wondering if somebody has similar experience and share any workarounds. Currently we are looking at either using script to modify the configuration or manually doing it after creating new site from classic site template. Recently switched SharePoint Online site libraries from Classic to Modern. Getting following experience. Classic Behaviour: when we drag and drop new versions (same name) of existing library items, SharePoint automatically checks out the existing items > we update metadata > check in Modern Behaviour: when we drag and drop new versions (same name) of existing library items, SharePoint requires that we first manually check out existing library items of same name before we can drag and drop the new versions into library > drag and drop new versions > update metadata > check in This is very frustating for our document controllers as they upload hundred of documents daily. Hi, We have seasonal field staff that don't need access to any system/device hence have no Microsoft account. There is a need to provide them read only access to SharePoint Online based Intranet to avoid email notifications to their personal e-mails. The staff gets onboarded/offboarded based on ongoing projects. Wondering if using Azure B2B guest account is best option and we are not violating any MS license terms.390Views0likes0Comments
